    This kit ROCKS!

    Got a Blackberry from a girl friend of mine - it was purple. I decided to look on Amazon, and took a chance on this product. Came from Singapore (but I mean, it's electronic, what do you expect?) and that took some time. But all in all, this looks OEM, came with all parts - even a new frame for the board itself. Furthermore, it came with the "spudger" tool and screwdriver - for under $20 bucks!Was a breeze to install, didn't use the new frame, but it's nice to have spare parts.     Great, cheap way to make your phone look brand new

    I was handing down my 8530 to my Mom, as I was upgrading my phone. My original black housing had normal signs of wear and use, so I though I'd give this a chance. The item arrived within the week, but I recieved no tools. Not a deal-breaker, but just a simple inconvinience. A Torx screwdriver from my local hardware store, and a credit card were ample tools in removing the housing. There are very useful videos on youtube displaying how to dissasemble the housing, and how to re-assemble it.For my kit however, I used all parts EXCEPT the bezel. I didn't use it because I did not want to take apart the radio of the phone, which is pretty risky business. So I removed the battery cover, screen lens, frame, and keyboard. I dissasembled it, and reassembled it with the help of the youtube video. It all looks of great quality, and performs equally as well.     BE CAREFULL

    First the product didn't come with the screws that were shown, not worth having to return order and wait for new one, especially if your phone is not working. One big thing is to remember you have to order a replacement wifi antenna. To be fair the description doesn't state it comes with it, but if your a trying to save money and doing yourself. I don't think the average joe would know you can't peel off the sticker which is the wifi antenna without ripping it. I think the seller should note clearly, that you need to order an antenna for the do it yourselfers.     This was purchased to change the housing of a phone that worked well but the body was in a bad condition. The Housing fit the 8520 perfectly. The phone actually look like new.     bad product

    This product is not what i expected. The back doesnt fit right the front plate doesnt fit either. The screen didnt fit at all i had to use my old one cause the new one stuck up to far and i couldnt even use the trac ball.     If you want to make your BlackBerry look like a cheap counterfeit, this is the housing for you.Paperwork said it came with a tool, there was no tool. Item description said it would ship with bottom front cover, that was missing too. The pictures are inaccurate, the "BlackBerry" logo on the front lens of my housing kit had a crooked lowercase "l" and "a" making the phone look like an imitation; the chrome logo on the battery cover simply falls out. The front lens was of very cheap quality overall.I was able to piece together parts of my old housing with parts of this terrible kit enough to put my phone together so I can use it until another, better, more expensive housing arrives. You truly get what you pay for. I feel like a sucker.     I know that this is an aftermarket product, the only good thing about it, is the color, which you don't find in oem, as far as I know.the battery cover is not a good fit, and the lcd lens, is very thin, and damages real easy, i could not even use it.
