Blackberry Solution For "SIM Card Rejected"

  • Jun 18, 2009 from autogalleria
autogalleria Your phone is set up for 1XEV while in the U.S. If your phone is in a low signal area and it loses the 1XEV, since the default setting is "GLOBAL", and your SIM card is not activated out of the box, it couldn't get on a GSM network, so therefore you are getting the "SIM Card Rejected" message.

    Excellent bang for your buck!

I got this card for my LG EnV2 so that I could put music on it as well as have more storage space for pictures, along with the option of printing pictures I take on my phone at a kiosk that accepts SanDisc cards (adapter needed), and it works perfectly! Don't be alarmed if the product comes to your home in nothing but a bubble wrap envelope. Bulk packaging simply means that it doesn't have plastic casing on it. In other words, it doesn't have the retail packaging that you would see hanging on a store shelf at Wal-Mart.If your device doesn't read microSDHC cards, but you're looking for a microSD card (non-SDHC) that holds more storage capacity than 2 gigs, then you won't find it because such a card doesn't exist. Any microSD card with storage capacity higher than 2 gigs is automatically going to be an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card. If you're looking at any product detail of, say a phone, and in the details it mentions that it can have an external storage capacity... 5/5 Nathan Robinson (Provo, UT USA) - See all my reviews, October 2, 2008

    Quite Happy!

What can I say? It's a tiny little MicroSD card with 4 GB of memory. It worked great on the first try with my HTC 8925 (AT&T Tilt) phone. It's fast and the price was perfect.I'm sure in six months everyone will have 20 GB cards for $50 each, but for the time being if your phone or camera supports MicroSD and SDHC then pick one of these up.BTW: If you've never seen a MicroSD card, be prepared to be floored by its size. Think fingernail. 5/5 D. Diskin (California, USA) - See all my reviews, November 4, 2007

    ENSURE YOUR DEVICE IS COMPATABLE!

I bought this for use with a Nokia 6085 cell phone, but the card is not recognized by the phone. In fact, it wasn't recognized by the built-in reader in my 6 month old laptop, either.Upon contacting the supplier I was advised that cards higher in capacity than 2GB use a special format which is not usable by most devices, even laptops with integrated card readers, unless they specifically indicate that they can use the new SDHC (High Capacity) format.Kudos to the supplier, as they don't claim that it works with my phone; they shipped quickly and responded well to my email. The problem was my lack of research into possible compatibility issues. So, now you know. Don't make the same mistake I did! 3/5 C. Holmes "ssoundman" (Western New York) - See all my reviews, February 26, 2009

False ad- 'Unlimited' data; Zero customer service

DO NOT be suckered in by the advertised "unlimited data" $60 plan. If you exceed 2GB of usage, they throttle your data speed to a trickle and then cut you off completely. And when you call customer no-service to complain, they give you a Simple Mobile Corporate # in Irvine, CA to call, which is a voicemail that will never call you back. You are effectively stuck with the lower $40 plan even though you've paid $60 for the remainder of the month. After that, you are forever limited to the $40 plan and not allowed back on the $60 "unlimited data".I had left several voicemail messages to the corporate meatheads to no avail. A total scam! 1/5 Truman (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Simple Mobile Activation Kit including Sim Card (Electronics) DO NOT be suckered in by the advertised "unlimited data" $60 plan. Don't trust Simple Mobile!

I signed up for Simple Mobile because they advertise a $40 unlimited talk, text, and "up to 3G" web plan. After I signed up and paid for one month, I learned that they throttle their data on that plan to 119 kbs. 3G data typically runs between 500 kb/s and 3 gb/s. 2G data, on the other hand, can go up to 150 kb/s. So, their "up to 3G data" is actually a 2G data plan! When I called their corporate HQ, they admitted that they throttle data, but claimed that 119 kb/s is at the "low end of 3G." When I asked for a refund, they refused. I may file a small claims court action to get my money back.My advice: Don't trust Simple Mobile. 1/5 Martin Anderson "Martin" (Santa Ana, CA United States) - See all my reviews, November 3, 2011

Works OK with my HP Voice Messenger

I am a foreign tourist visiting the US. I asked AT&T (chat support) if my unlocked HP 510 Voice Messenger would work with a SIM card purchased at Amazon's. They said that I could use my phone but "... you have to purchase a SIM card from an AT&T dealer..." However, I decided to purchase this very inexpensive SIM card, which arrived within 7 days (standard shipping). Went to GoPhone's page to activate it; they asked for my device's IMEI number (typed *#06# in the phone) and my new SIM card's serial number. Then typed some personal info required by AT&T, and finally purchased a $15 refill. Voila! Worked great! 5/5 MBornscheuer "mbq" - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works great!

The local AT&T store wanted $25 for a SIM card, plus they told me that the only plan available with their $25 SIM card would cost 25 cents per minute. No thanks! I found this one on Amazon, ordered it and received it within 2 days. It worked just fine, and upon activation was able to get the 10 cent per minute and $1 per day when used plan. Well worth the $5 I paid for the card even if some people say that you can get a SIM card for free from AT&T - I never figured out how to get a free one and it was worth $5 not to have to worry about figuring it out. Would definitely buy this again. 5/5 Jeff Cheap (Beijing, P.R. China) - See all my reviews, July 20, 2010

    Maximum storage, minimum hasle

Though I wish I had waited a couple of weeks to buy this card (the price dropped 30 dollars in the past two weeks), I have nothing but good things to say about the card. Easy to load, easy to read. I managed to put about 11 gigs on here in the first three days (lots of music) and the access has been flawless. Word of caution, be careful with the card reader. My first attempt led to a corrupted card which I had to return. May have been a manufacturing defect (bought from best buy, not from Amazon. Best buy charged 99.00). I reccomend loading the card in the device before adding data rather than using the reader and then inserting loaded card. All in all, a miracle of storage on a tiny card. I eagerly await the 32 gb in a year or two. 5/5 Ira B. Steinberg - See all my reviews, November 11, 2008

    Exactly what it says

Great card, works great, is exactly what it says, and comes with SanDisk's standard warranty. A couple things to remember, 16 "gigabytes" in manufacturer terms equates to about 14.9 true formatted gigabytes (because a kilo for a computer is 1024). Also the MicroSDHC standard is the same card and interface as the old MicroSD; the difference is in the compression method. This means that many smartphones that didn't support SDHC when they were made can support it if the software is upgraded. An example of this is any Windows Mobile phone that has been upgraded to WinMo 6.1; 6.1 supports SDHC. 5/5 Joshua J. Susmarski (Broomfield, CO USA) - See all my reviews, November 30, 2008

certainly no iPhone ... which is a good thing!

the 8520 phone actually works well on at&t! no matter how much you learn the iphone keyboard, a blackberry full physical qwerty still wins, hands down. the spell checker and predictive type on bberry is better vs iphone and with the physical keyboard you misspell a lot less. since you can sync your itunes on here you only "miss" the iphone for its apps which really only work best on wifi. 8520 is lightweight, fairly thin, very light, has nicely spaced keys, and really cool media controls blended into the top of the device. nice use of rubber here on the device too lends some durability to glossy plastic finish.
