  Absolute HOAX!!! PIN is not working!

  I've just purchased this card. The listing said it would include $10 airtime as bonus. During activation, the pin number that came with the card was rejected. I've called AT&T customer service, spoke with a manager just to find out that this $10 airtime promotion no longer valid and it applied only if you had purchased a phone through AT&T as well. And their new promotion was add $25 within first week to get $10 credit. WTF???So, pretty much I've purchased a SIM card with $0 balance. The manager was able to issue me a $5 credit--that was the limit according to his words. But I am still not happy and feel mislead by the false advertisement. Buyer beware. 1/5 D.   Worth a shot

  After moving to the US from overseas, I needed a pre-paid SIM for my iphone. The at&t go phone SIM was exactly what I needed. After reading the customer reviews, I realised that some people had difficulties activating the SIM and for others it worked well. I thought $6.00 it's worth a shot. The product arrived super fast. I was very impressed. I was sent the cell antenna and the SIM card sticky taped to it (no instructions, cell number or pin). I'm pretty good with using the internet so I found the activation site on the at&t website. The activation went well until the last stage where the data is being processed. I kept getting an error message from the at&t website "error GP038 activation taking longer than normal. Please try again". I tried calling the at&t customer service line but the automated messages ask for a cell number which I don't have.   I ordered this SIM to start a pre-paid AT&T Go-Phone account. I used it in a phone that was previously a AT&T/Cingular network phone, that was not "unlocked".After activating the Go-Phone account on AT&T's website and putting the SIM in the phone, it worked perfectly.   I've just bought this phone over the past weekend at BB for $15 and bought $25 airtime.Service:So far, I have to say I am quite happy with it. I previously had T-Mobile prepaid but had to switch because I had no service in my house. After switching to AT&T, I can actually make calls/texts in my house. The service is quite cheap as well, I am on the Simple Rate plan. It costs $.10/min to talk which gets deducted from your prepaid balance. Standard texting costs $.25 per text, but I bought 200 messages for $4.99 that lasts for 30 days (Comes to $.02/text).Cell Phone:The phone was super cheap and yet it is quiet sturdy.   WARNING: AT&T unethically scamming people

  I opted for the pre-paid plan that charges $2.00 for only the days I use the phone. Sounded like a cheap way to have a cell phone without a monthly bill. Wrong.First, the packaging fails to advertise that your pre-paid minutes expire if not used within certain time frames and non-use will deactivate your phone which can never be reactivated or used with another provider. So if you let it lie dormant for 3 months, you can throw it in the garbage.Second, the packaging fails to advertise that AT&T will call my phone every few days and leave voice mail messages. You cannot tell who left a voice mail until you retrieve it, so I must "use" the phone to retrieve the voice mail, and get charged $2.00 to find out that AT&T left a baloney message about billing cycles ending or beginning -- I DON'T HAVE a billing cycle since I'm pre-paid!!!   A solution-painless replacement of a lost phone on a family plan

  My stepson lost his mother's cellphone. The phone, which my wife did not like much anyway, was on my family plan. My wife prefers clamshell phones so my plan to pass her down my IPhone 3GS was not met with any enthusiasm. So how did I get her a new cellphone, one she likes, put it on the plan, and not extend my plan by another two years?This phone is the answer. First it's a clamshell. Second it is priced right. Third, AT&T will put in a new SIM card for her family plan number. Finally none of this extends my existing plan should I want to switch providers (and I am not sure I do since AT&T is getting better).Now please note that by installing a new SIM card, this becomes a regular cellphone on my plan. It is no longer a prepaid phone.The voice quality is quite good. It has a camera, which my wife is unlikely ever to use.   I have a Motorola V-190 GSM quadband unlocked cell phone that I use to travel around the US and abroad. It's very convenient when you arrive at a foriegn airport to pick up a sim card at a kiosk,insert it into your cell have a local number as long as you're there.In the US I have been using T-mobile as my local carrier.   The local AT&T store wanted $25 for a SIM card, plus they told me that the only plan available with their $25 SIM card would cost 25 cents per minute. No thanks! I found this one on Amazon, ordered it and received it within 2 days. It worked just fine, and upon activation was able to get the 10 cent per minute and $1 per day when used plan. Well worth the $5 I paid for the card even if some people say that you can get a SIM card for free from AT&T - I never figured out how to get a free one and it was worth $5 not to have to worry about figuring it out.   I purchased 2 of these phones for my college aged children. At college and home the students have full WiFi coverage so they don't need a data plan ($0). Using Google voice and WiFi they have full smartphone functionality with no monthly bill, and the kids love the phone. Almost all Android software will run except some of the really high power games that require a dual processor. Purchase a $100 go phone card and you basically get a smart phone for about $20 a month. (including the purchase price and the 1 year service plan) The battery seems to last for days even though the kids are using the phone ALL THE TIME. Only time will tell if the phone will hold up, but at this price the phone only has to last 3 months before we break even versus a traditional plan.   I bought this phone as a personal phone. I have a work cellphone through AT&T, but it's very basic. I wouldn't say I use my personal phone for much more than texts and the occasional call. I originally went with Straight Talk since I didn't want to pay a lot for monthly service. While with them for a year, I had 4 different phones. Only one was a touchscreen and it had made me wonder if touchscreen phones are just not made for me. This past December, I decided it was time to get a new phone.   This is a neat phone. It's biggest problem seems to be a lack of battery power, but in part that's because it has some real power using features including GPS and a brilliant touch screen. But for someone like me, who is simply replacing by dumb gophone, I've added a GPS, an MP3 player, a WIFI enable internet browser, and any android ap that I want, all without having to spend more than $8 bucks a month I currently spend for my emergency phone. In fact, I was able to simple switch my SIM card--easy--and I even kept my phone number and cash balance.   The phone works fine. It meets my expectations. There was no $25 Airtime Credit. But Amazon made good by crediting my account for the amount of the credit.We live out in the boonies. As a result we have zero bars on the cell phone, that is why we do not own a cell phone but rely on a landline phone. But it is nice to have a portable phone when we are up and about. We use a go-phone and that works well except there is no reception near our house.I heard that Blackberry/iPhones type phones can get better reception. So I thought it was worth giving this type of phone a try as a second go-phone (for the wife) so we can find each other when we are separated in the mall or large mega store. Well it worked.   I have had this for about 6 months. I bought this prepaid sim card for my unlocked cell phone. It works great and I have everything that a prepaid phone from at&t should have.   OK I just got this for $39.99 and it seems to be a great phone, but this is my 1st cell phone, so I really wouldn't know a bad phone and features. AT&T only has one lower priced Go Phone at $19.99, but it doesn't have Bluetooth. This has the Bluetooth and a camera. It's a small phone at 3 3/4" x 2" x 3/4" when closed. I wanted a clam shell so I can throw it in my pocket and this fit the bill. You can also get a data plan to do the web and such but I was looking for a reasonably price phone for calls. As with all prepaid phones you have to watch your minutes and expiration, but if you get the $100.00 refill for 1000 minutes they're good for a year and all the prepaid plans roll over the minutes balance if you refill in time. Or get a pay as you go plan and pay every month. The sound is very clear and it's Bluetooth connection to my GPS makes it somewhat hands free. You have a lot of options if you want to get a data plan. IM, mobile email, games & apps and web connection.   I recently purchased two of these phones, to free us from outrageous monthly "smart" phone bills and actually use a cell phone for its original intended purpose- to make occasional calls when away from home or work. No, these phones will not be confused with iPhones, but you won't have to work a second job to pay your cell phone bill, either. They are small, easily customized, and very reasonable to operate on the 10 cents per minute plan, no monthly charges of any sort. One buys $25.00 worth of airtime, good for three months; unused minutes roll over when more time is purchased.   I have actually downgraded my phones several times simply because I don't need all the features and with this phone you can see the screen in almost all lighting conditions. It's simple. Effective. AT&T really didn't like my decision, but you can actually "use" this phone in all dry working conditions.   I spent several frustrating days trying to activate the SIM card online, and using the phone number given on the At&T website. They wanted to know my phone number, which one doesn't know until the SIM card is activated. They also ask you to select the model of your phone from a limited list they give you.   You must activate it in an AT&T agent (add USD$ 15 it will be enough). Activation through internet was not possible but the AT&T agent is the solution. Now your cellphone is ready to receive and make calls. In the AT&T Go-Phone page you can create an account to add money to your prepaid simcard. In this webpage you can also add features like internet access. If you want to use internet in your cellphone, you need to add the APN in your cellphone. It sounds difficult, but it is not if you use the unlockit webpage. Write the URL in your cellphone (wifi connection) press continue, then Custom APN, Choose US-AT&T (broadband). But when i got it I discovered the seller actually cuts the sim with a micro sim cutter and then packages the card again with plastic to sell it as a micro sim.   Love This Phone!!!!

  I absolutely love this phone. I've had it for several weeks now and it works great! The apps and the web come up quickly, the pictures are of good quality and the screen clarity is good. I have found only one down side so far and that's that I can't find a case for it yet...but was told they should be in this weekend, so hopefully I'll have that soon.
