  Absolute HOAX!!! PIN is not working!

  I've just purchased this card. The listing said it would include $10 airtime as bonus. During activation, the pin number that came with the card was rejected. I've called AT&T customer service, spoke with a manager just to find out that this $10 airtime promotion no longer valid and it applied only if you had purchased a phone through AT&T as well. And their new promotion was add $25 within first week to get $10 credit. WTF???So, pretty much I've purchased a SIM card with $0 balance. The manager was able to issue me a $5 credit--that was the limit according to his words. But I am still not happy and feel mislead by the false advertisement. Buyer beware. 1/5 D.   Worth a shot

  After moving to the US from overseas, I needed a pre-paid SIM for my iphone. The at&t go phone SIM was exactly what I needed. After reading the customer reviews, I realised that some people had difficulties activating the SIM and for others it worked well. I thought $6.00 it's worth a shot. The product arrived super fast. I was very impressed. I was sent the cell antenna and the SIM card sticky taped to it (no instructions, cell number or pin). I'm pretty good with using the internet so I found the activation site on the at&t website. The activation went well until the last stage where the data is being processed. I kept getting an error message from the at&t website "error GP038 activation taking longer than normal. Please try again". I tried calling the at&t customer service line but the automated messages ask for a cell number which I don't have.   I ordered this SIM to start a pre-paid AT&T Go-Phone account.   You must activate it in an AT&T agent (add USD$ 15 it will be enough). Activation through internet was not possible but the AT&T agent is the solution. Now your cellphone is ready to receive and make calls. In the AT&T Go-Phone page you can create an account to add money to your prepaid simcard. In this webpage you can also add features like internet access. If you want to use internet in your cellphone, you need to add the APN in your cellphone. It sounds difficult, but it is not if you use the unlockit webpage. Write the URL in your cellphone (wifi connection) press continue, then Custom APN, Choose US-AT&T (broadband). But when i got it I discovered the seller actually cuts the sim with a micro sim cutter and then packages the card again with plastic to sell it as a micro sim.   The local AT&T store wanted $25 for a SIM card, plus they told me that the only plan available with their $25 SIM card would cost 25 cents per minute. No thanks! I found this one on Amazon, ordered it and received it within 2 days. It worked just fine, and upon activation was able to get the 10 cent per minute and $1 per day when used plan. Well worth the $5 I paid for the card even if some people say that you can get a SIM card for free from AT&T - I never figured out how to get a free one and it was worth $5 not to have to worry about figuring it out.   I love the phone. I was looking at voip but didn't want the start up cost and the monthly fees. So I decided to add a cell phone line but I wanted a phone that was similar to a house phone.   Nice phone. Just right for what I wanted to do.

  Really good for a person like me, who wants to sit at a desk and conduct business with only a cell phone account. I will be moving on a boat, so I need a mobile unit, but one that acts like a desk top. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the first one I recieved had a bad handset. I ordered another one right away, but the price had gone up by 5$ to $50.   Works well but does not pick up the connection on its own. Must be paired each day you enter the car. However, it doesn't disconnect right away so it should work well getting in and out of the car during the day. Mine sent a note to the phone that it was disconnecting about 10pm last night. I had paired it about 11:00 am when I was in the car. The voice quality is very clear on the sending and receiving end. I use it with my blackberry curve 9330 and my husband's 4s iphone.   Setting it up with an ATT one month data plan was trickier than expected. Main problem was that the "Zoom 7.2m Tri-Band Modem" window that should appear when the modem was first inserted did not appear, and the instructions enclosed with the modem gave no telephone support line, just web chat, which produced the message that no chat personnel were available even though it was normal business hours at their location, and an email query would be answered in 72 hours!. Fortunately Zoom's website did have a phone support line for the 3g modem, 617-753-0965, which was answered and the problem dealt with politely.One other problem, which is actually the first you encounter, was that the ATT website shown in the Zoom instruction sheet did not work. The store could not sell this data plan to me, so I needed the web. Main problem was that the "Zoom 7.2m Tri-Band Modem" window that should appear when the modem was first inserted did not appear, and the instructions enclosed with the modem gave no telephone support line, just web chat, which produced the message that no chat personnel were available even though it was normal business hours at their location, and an email query would be answered in 72 hours!. Fortunately Zoom's website did have a phone support line for the 3g modem, 617-753-0965, which was answered and the problem dealt with politely.One other problem, which is actually the first you encounter, was that the ATT website shown in the Zoom instruction sheet did not work.   simplicity manifested through gophone

  I've just bought this phone over the past weekend at BB for $15 and bought $25 airtime.Service:So far, I have to say I am quite happy with it. I previously had T-Mobile prepaid but had to switch because I had no service in my house. After switching to AT&T, I can actually make calls/texts in my house. The service is quite cheap as well, I am on the Simple Rate plan. It costs $.10/min to talk which gets deducted from your prepaid balance. Standard texting costs $.25 per text, but I bought 200 messages for $4.99 that lasts for 30 days (Comes to $.02/text).Cell Phone:The phone was super cheap and yet it is quiet sturdy. There is no exterior screen, making it that much more stable/energy efficient. It is quite possibly the simplest phone you can buy new on the market.   WARNING: AT&T unethically scamming people

  I opted for the pre-paid plan that charges $2.00 for only the days I use the phone. Sounded like a cheap way to have a cell phone without a monthly bill. Wrong.First, the packaging fails to advertise that your pre-paid minutes expire if not used within certain time frames and non-use will deactivate your phone which can never be reactivated or used with another provider. So if you let it lie dormant for 3 months, you can throw it in the garbage.Second, the packaging fails to advertise that AT&T will call my phone every few days and leave voice mail messages. You cannot tell who left a voice mail until you retrieve it, so I must "use" the phone to retrieve the voice mail, and get charged $2.00 to find out that AT&T left a baloney message about billing cycles ending or beginning -- I DON'T HAVE a billing cycle since I'm pre-paid!!!   A solution-painless replacement of a lost phone on a family plan

  My stepson lost his mother's cellphone. The phone, which my wife did not like much anyway, was on my family plan. My wife prefers clamshell phones so my plan to pass her down my IPhone 3GS was not met with any enthusiasm. So how did I get her a new cellphone, one she likes, put it on the plan, and not extend my plan by another two years?This phone is the answer. First it's a clamshell. Second it is priced right. Third, AT&T will put in a new SIM card for her family plan number. Finally none of this extends my existing plan should I want to switch providers (and I am not sure I do since AT&T is getting better).Now please note that by installing a new SIM card, this becomes a regular cellphone on my plan. It is no longer a prepaid phone.The voice quality is quite good. It has a camera, which my wife is unlikely ever to use. It has what it calls "Apps" was are a few limited and unimaginative mini-programs. It can text, another feature my wife won't... 4/5 G.
