False ad- 'Unlimited' data; Zero customer service

DO NOT be suckered in by the advertised "unlimited data" $60 plan. If you exceed 2GB of usage, they throttle your data speed to a trickle and then cut you off completely. And when you call customer no-service to complain, they give you a Simple Mobile Corporate # in Irvine, CA to call, which is a voicemail that will never call you back. You are effectively stuck with the lower $40 plan even though you've paid $60 for the remainder of the month. After that, you are forever limited to the $40 plan and not allowed back on the $60 "unlimited data".I had left several voicemail messages to the corporate meatheads to no avail. A total scam! 1/5 Truman (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Simple Mobile Activation Kit including Sim Card (Electronics) DO NOT be suckered in by the advertised "unlimited data" $60 plan. Don't trust Simple Mobile!

I signed up for Simple Mobile because they advertise a $40 unlimited talk, text, and "up to 3G" web plan. After I signed up and paid for one month, I learned that they throttle their data on that plan to 119 kbs. 3G data typically runs between 500 kb/s and 3 gb/s. 2G data, on the other hand, can go up to 150 kb/s. So, their "up to 3G data" is actually a 2G data plan! When I called their corporate HQ, they admitted that they throttle data, but claimed that 119 kb/s is at the "low end of 3G." When I asked for a refund, they refused. I may file a small claims court action to get my money back.My advice: Don't trust Simple Mobile. 1/5 Martin Anderson "Martin" (Santa Ana, CA United States) - See all my reviews, November 3, 2011

    False advertising

The picture shows a simple mobile micro sim. What was sent to me was actually a poorly cut full size sim card. This company is a joke and a fraud. At $0.83 it's almost not worth it to send the item back... What a joke!*UPDATE 27 MARCH 2011*Today I received an email from UP4L saying they would fix the problem. They did not fix the problem. They simply sent ANOTHER poorly cut full size sim card and demanded I remove my negative review of their falsely advertised product. How do you send me the wrong item, TWICE, and then demand that I remove my 1 star review?? Again, this company is a joke. I will not use ever again. I wouldn't even refer my worst enemy to this place, because that would generate revenue for them and they really should be out of business. They need to be dropped from Amazon for falsely advertising a product.I sincerely hope Amazon listens when I say "THIS COMPANY IS FALSELY ADVERTISING ON YOUR WEBSITE!!" 1/5 Kicks Malone "Grammar Police" - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works as advertised

I purchased this for use in an unlocked iPhone and found that it activated smoothly via the on-line instructions and was preloaded with a few dollars for minutes. This was welcome, because I was then able to test the signal and verify that I could make calls on the T-Mobile network. What's more, as of 11/2010, T-Mobile offers a pay-as-you-go data package for $1.49/24h on their Edge network. With about $20 put into the card on-line, I can travel and use both data and talk minutes without a contract or any recurring payments. Previously, I was using the ATT GoPhone service, but ATT cut out all of their roaming partners, so coverage is abysmal in rural areas.I'm purchasing a second T-Mobile SIM tonight for my wife.Beware. Don't buy the other Amazon T-Mobile SIM for "unactivated replacement." This SIM is only for replacing an existing lost SIM and is not for activating new accounts. 5/5 James Li (Maine) - See all my reviews, November 3, 2010

Old SIM (likely not to work)

These SIMS are "legacy" (meaning old) items. I bought one and put it in my TMobile phone. I could see other networks, but not TMobile. After multiple calls to tech support, the problem is the SIM - it's too old. The seller of these will say they are still good (through 2013), and it isn't their problem. TMobile does replace them for free; however, you have to physically go to the TMobile store (not just a TMobile rep like an electronics store) it is in very limited locations (nearest to me is out of state - 100+ miles away). They won't ship a new one (unless you buy a brand new one, plus there is the question of where you bought it - Amazon - so they tell you to send it back to the seller). The seller I dealt with wouldn't take it back since the card was activated (in my case), so basically I have to buy a brand new SIM card. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this product. 1/5 ds - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Unlocked iPhone 4 Ready!

If you're looking for a SIM card to use on your unlocked iPhone 4 you've found it. This has never been activated so you will get a new number once activated. Only takes a couple minutes and you're off and using your iPhone 4 on the T-Mobile network. With the new 24 hour data plan available on T-Mobile you can't go wrong. Plus, it's still the GSM iPhone and not the CDMA iPhone 4 being offered with the Verizon network. This SIM card is exactly what you're looking for to use for your unlocked iPhone 4. 5/5 CincyMac - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works OK with my HP Voice Messenger

I am a foreign tourist visiting the US. I asked AT&T (chat support) if my unlocked HP 510 Voice Messenger would work with a SIM card purchased at Amazon's. They said that I could use my phone but "... you have to purchase a SIM card from an AT&T dealer..." However, I decided to purchase this very inexpensive SIM card, which arrived within 7 days (standard shipping). Went to GoPhone's page to activate it; they asked for my device's IMEI number (typed *#06# in the phone) and my new SIM card's serial number. Then typed some personal info required by AT&T, and finally purchased a $15 refill. Voila! Worked great! 5/5 MBornscheuer "mbq" - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works great!

The local AT&T store wanted $25 for a SIM card, plus they told me that the only plan available with their $25 SIM card would cost 25 cents per minute. No thanks! I found this one on Amazon, ordered it and received it within 2 days. It worked just fine, and upon activation was able to get the 10 cent per minute and $1 per day when used plan. Well worth the $5 I paid for the card even if some people say that you can get a SIM card for free from AT&T - I never figured out how to get a free one and it was worth $5 not to have to worry about figuring it out. Would definitely buy this again. 5/5 Jeff Cheap (Beijing, P.R. China) - See all my reviews, July 20, 2010

Convenient international calls from USA cell phones

Pro: It is convenient. Just dial 011+country code+ phone number. No more phone card, password etc 2 or 3 stage dialing. Futhermore, it offers low international direct dial rate to many countries.Con: It uses AT&T's gophone network. It has big converage, as large as ATT's gophone network, but not as big as post paid plan. You will have wait 2-4 seconds when the system dials internationl phone numbers. It seems to me that Redpocket uses some callback technology to achieve this low international rates. 4/5 Liang Chi Li - See all my reviews, June 28, 2009

Red Pocket is a decent AT&T MVNO

If you're looking for cellular service at a lower price, Red Pocket is a pretty good choice. They uses AT&T's network and their coverage should be the same as what AT&T offers to its prepaid customers. However, their prices are, for the most part, better. They have a wide range of plans, including a $.10 per minute plan, a $40 unlimited talk and text plan, a $50 unlimited talk, text, and 250MB of data plan, and a $60 unlimited talk, text, and 2GB of data. You can use any unlocked GSM phone, or any AT&T locked GSM Phone. If you want 3G data speeds, you'll want a phone that supports HSDPA 850/1900. Unlike Simple Mobile, Red Pocket's 3G data plans actually deliver 3G data.If you have trouble, their customer service can be hit and miss. Keep calling until you reach the Texas call center, or send an e-mail. 5/5 Martin Anderson "Martin" (Santa Ana, CA United States) - See all my reviews, January 14, 2012

    Service associated with the SIM

I purchased this SIM to connect 2 iPhones without 1. unlocking the devices, 2. service these phones with plans that actually matched the usage of each individual, and 3. not be held to long-term service contract. RedPocket has met those objective on all three fronts. I've been able to cut my monthly PCS costs and yet maintain a level of connectivity that matches my needs. Red Pocket also piggybacks on AT&T's network. This network has much greater presence in this market and good penetration in areas that my other carrier was weak in providing coverage. Highly would recommend Red Pocket for those that don't want to deal with unlocking their devices and wanting to reduce their monthly PCS costs. 5/5 J. Ignore the negative review for this item. Here are the steps to get your new sim card activated. It's very easy. 1) Call Tmo at the number provided on the card. 2) Go through the automated response and push zero. You're only interested in talking to a live operator. 3) Ask to do a "SIM CARD SWAP." You might get transferred to tech support. Doesn't matter. 4) The operator will ask you to confirm the sim number (the really long number at the bottom) and for you to confirm your phone number. For security purposes, they'll ask for the last for digit of your social. Sim card swaps take minutes to be effective. Not for unlocked iPhone

This item is a replacement SIM card for someone that already has a T-Mobile account. I bought this item thinking i could insert it into my unlocked iPhone. This is not the case. If that is what you would like to do then i would recommend getting the "T-Mobile USA (Tmobile T Mobile) SIM Card and Prepaid Activation Kit" from amazon. It worked great with my iPhone.I'm sure that if i needed a replacement SIM card this product would have served it's purpose, so technically it's my fault for getting this without looking into it more.Hopefully this offered some assistance to those with unlocked iPhones who would like to use T-Mobile service with it. 3/5 tmancramer - See all my reviews This review is from: T-mobile Sim Card Brand New! Great Service.

I lost my sim card while in the UK. T-mobile do not ship internationally so I would've been without calls/emails/texts for a few weeks had I not found these guys on Amazon. This sim card does exactly what it says it does. It's a replacement sim (not a pre paid). I ordered it with expedited shipping and it arrived 48 hours later to the address in England. I phoned up T-mobile gave them the sim number (that's clearly written on the card) and was back up and running in less then 5 minutes. Fun Diversion from Sim 3

I really like this expansion pack. For one thing, while your sims are on "vacation" you can bring their skill-building books, etc. and then they have virtually unlimited time to max up abilities. When you leave regular Simland, you return at exactly the same time of day and day you left, as if you never left at all, even if you were gone weeks. Another neat thing is that there are an enormous amount of adventures. It is hard to complete even one or two in one trip. I've taken one trip to France, two to Egypt and one to China and only got Visa level 1 out of 10 levels.. and that's just for one sim. I imagine it would take many generations of sims to experience all the adventures. You also get cool unique items from your travels and two new hobbies: nectar (wine) making and martial-arts. I feel this is an excellent addition to Sims 3, esp for when you've played a long time (as I have) and gotten kind of bored. It spices things up! 5/5 Laura Paxton (Durham, NC, USA) - See all my reviews, December 23, 2010

    Fun Expansion Pack

I almost didn't buy the download due to the negative review. I had no problem downloading the game and integrating it with my exisisting Sims 3 installation from a CD, with no harm to my existing saved games. As soon as the install completed, the EA updated found a patch and I installed that too. The nice thing about buying this as a download is now I don't need to have my Sim3 disk in when I play. World Adventures is easy to jump right into because it doesn't require very much money for the first trip. So even if you are started with a brand new household, you can send your Sim on a trip as your first action. I haven't played to much but there appears to be a lot of content. So far I've only looked around China and it is beautiful and there don't appear to be any rabbit holes (buildings that they disappear into and you can't control them). Your Sims still needs to have its needs met while on vacation, but when you return, it is fully recharged (even if you have neglected all of its... 4/5 DFE (Lake Forest, CA USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Ehh It's Different...

As addicting as the Sims can be, it gets a bit dull and monotonous after a while. That's why I figured an expansion pack full of tomb searching and tourism would be a great way to spice up my Sims playing. I'm not as pleased as I had hoped. All the new furniture and clothes are nice, since you tend to just use the same ones over and over after a while, but there aren't any new neighborhoods. Also, it cost a ton to travel to the new areas, which I suppose you can surpass by just using a cheat code, but it takes forever to get anywhere, and the tombs take a long time as well. It's kind of exciting as far as actual adventure outside of the 9-5 lifestyle, but your sim has to be rolling in the dough to do much. I do enjoy the nectar collecting and being more involved in developing the photography skill. I can only describe this expansion pack as alright, and for twenty dollars, I'm satisfied. 3/5 Kim - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
