  Very Dissapointed

  I bought this for the length (6 ft). I assumed for the price I paid ($9.99 at the time I purchased it) that it would be a quality item. I used it perhaps 10 or 12 times to charge my iphone and then it suddenly just stopped working. Unfortunately, by the time I discovered it was defective, the time for return had expired. The return policy does not provide adequate time for an item such as this that one only uses ocassionally. So, I basically wasted ten dollars on what appeared to be a "throw-away" item. I am very, very disappointed in both the maunfacturer and Amazon for not standing behind the product.   Decent Cable

  I've been using this cable for about a week now and it is working as advertised on my iPhone 3GS 16Gb. I'm running the 4.3.3 update on my phone right now using this cable and it's working great! Charge times are about the same as with the original Apple cable. It is a true 6', plus connectors for those that need the extra inches. The look and feel is very much like the original, only longer. The only difference I can see is that the cable jacket has a grayish tone instead of stark white like the Apple one is, the connectors are identical (even has the markings).All in all it's a decent cable that I would recommend to anyone needing a longer cable. 5/5 Keith A.   I agonized over which, if any, of these cables to purchase. There are so many negative reviews and comments on the 6 foot USB iPhone connector cables. But I decided to take a chance and I'm happy to report they all work just fine.I ordered from the seller Shivser, but when I checked out, the seller name displayed as Tavas. The return address on the box also said Tavas. Because of all the negative product reviews, I wanted to order with a seller whose orders were fulfilled by Amazon.com so if the cables did turn out to be defective, the Amazon.com return policy would apply.   Worst. Cable. Ever.

  This cable arrived on my doorsteps faster than I promised, and I was excited. When I opened it, it was as long as promised, and looked to be exactly what I needed. I plugged in my ipod, and everything seemed fine. A few hours later, I noticed it was not charging. I unpluged it, and was still at half battery. It look a lot of wiggling for the cable to charge my ipod again. I tried a buddys iphone, with the same problem.   Different Amazon vendors give different cables! Cellular 5 Star gave best. Importer520 cables were okay. Item44less were worst

  I compared the cable I received with my original iPhone 4 and 3 cables. I cannot tell any differences other than a slightly different feel of the rubber/plastic material along the cable length, which by the way also differs between my genuine Apple iphone 4 and 3 cables.   Not an "Apple" cable but VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE! (see my pics for full visual comparison made 4/1/11)

  I browsed Amazon for weeks teetering between about 3 different sellers for my replacement dock cables for charging/syncing my iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and 160Gig iPod Classic. I found these cables to be the least expensive of the ones with predominately "good" reviews. There were a few people who said they got the "real thing" when they ordered the cables as "OEM Apple cables", a few people who said the cables were good but not "OEM Apple" quality, and finally there were a few who said to "stay away from these cables" because they tore up easily.   The extension cable is roughly twice the thickness of the standard cable that comes with your iPhone. The extension cable locks well to my iPhone and iPad. I prefer cords that lock nicely, especially when I use them in my car so that it stays connected during road vibrations as it sits on the seat next to me. The extension also works to both sync and charge, showing me that all wires are properly connected. If you attach this extension to a regular sync cord it'll be much thicker and stiffer. The connectors are about 1 mm or so larger than the factory ones in width and thickness, and about 3 mm larger in height.The sync cord is about the same as the factory version. I felt this was a good value as a spare sync cord to keep in a travel bag. The sync cord has the shorter connector and does not lock on.   IT WORKS: Just got it. I'm using the extender to connect a Monster FM transmitter (Icar play 300) to my Ipod Touch to listen to music through my car speakers. I need the extender because the rubber case surrounding my IPOD prevents the badly designed Monster transmitter from connecting solidly to Ipod female connector. The Bluecell extender male end is standard width (that's good) and it slips nicely through the opening in the rubber Ipod protector so it solves my problem with the FM transmitter.   I bought this mainly for the extension cable, figuring we use it for connecting our ipod 4 (in an Otterbox) to the iHome device to place music. So far, I've been unable to get it to work with the iHome dock, disappointing.... The extension cable did work for syncing to iTunes on the computer.   DOES NOT WORK with my iPhone 3GS, as stated in the product description, and as sold by "Dragon Imports". When this full product itself is plugged into the wall, the iPhone 3GS shows the "Charging is not supported with this accessory" message. It works fine when you use the included USB charging cable and plug it into either a PC & the 3GS or plus the included USB cable into the original wall power adapter that came with the 3GS & the 3GS.   When charging with this my 3GS goes nutso, the screen gets super 'jumpy' (won't scroll smoothly, acts as if its being short circuited or something) and windows open and close by themselves. My guess is somewhere between the cable and the charger its pumping either too much (most likely) or too little juice into my poor phone...   I purchased two of these as spares for my iPhone 4 and my original iPad. They do look and feel just like the original Apple ones, but neither of them worked at all. Plugged them in to the wall, attached to my device - NOTHING. Did not charge, did not show the "This Device is Not Made for an iPhone" message - nothing. I did try the cable with my factory block and it worked, so it is the power block itself. Even worse, the company offers free shipping, but upon returning the devices they charge $3 EACH for shipping (deducted from return). I would stay away at all costs. 1/5 D.   Just got this one. In case anybody wonder, this is NOT THE OFFICIAL iPHONE CABLE. But, it does do the job. It charges and syncs just fine.   Very consistently worthless

  I needed several of these, and they were cheap enough that I bought 5. I thoroughly tested all of them, and all 5 had the same issues:1) For 3 devices (8GB iPod Touch 2nd generation, iPhone 3Gs, and an iPhone 4), it would not charge at all. A warning was issued on the screen: "Charging is not supported with this accessory." Once the message was dismissed, no charging occurred.2) For 2 other iPhone 4s, no such warning appeared, but the phone behaved VERY erratically. The touchscreen was not behaving correctly, and apps were malfunctioning and performing actions unlike what I was trying to make them do (repeating text, as though I was holding down a key on a real keyboard; backspacing every time I hit "Send" on a text; walking in one direction only while non-stop firing in one of my games). This suggested to me the voltage might actually be WRONG, which is, of course, not good.I threw them away. This product was 0-for-5 for me. I thoroughly tested all of them, and all 5 had the same issues:1) For 3 devices (8GB iPod Touch 2nd generation, iPhone 3Gs, and an iPhone 4), it would not charge at all. A warning was issued on the screen: "Charging is not supported with this accessory." Once the message was dismissed, no charging occurred.2) For 2 other iPhone 4s, no such warning appeared, but the phone behaved VERY erratically. The touchscreen was not behaving correctly, and apps were malfunctioning and performing actions unlike what I was trying to make them do (repeating text, as though I was holding down a key on a real keyboard; backspacing every time I hit "Send" on a text; walking in one direction only while non-stop firing in one of my games).   Only works with certain cables

  Title says it all. It only works and charges with some cables and not others. It's very aggravating.   Genuine charger for 1/6 the Apple price

  This charger costs an astounding $30 if you buy it from the Apple web store! Maybe Apple dips it in gold or something, but there's no reason to pay $30 for it when you can get it for about $5, is there?After I got this, I looked it over very carefully, comparing it to one a friend got from Apple. This is either the real deal, or it's the best knock-off ever made. It has the same markings and numbers as the original.Bottom line: It works, and it's much, MUCH cheaper than it is from Apple. If you want a charger, buy this one.--------------------------Update 2/08/2012: Obviously, a large number of reviewers have had very different experiences with their chargers than I've had with mine.   Good for charging, not for syncing.

  Okay, I hopefully want to leave a helpful review for people.So first off, I ordered this cable because I wanted to be able to charge my ipod from long distances away.When I travel, the wall socket is not always close to where I want it to be, because I use a wall adapter.I did not get this for syncing because I knew it would not work.Now, The actual cable I received was 6.5 feet long exactly, But, it was white.Why did I get a white cable, I don't know, but I really don't mind the color of my sync cable.Now, The reason you are all having trouble with syncing is because of the length of the cord. When a cord gets to be that long it has higher latencies, and syncing with it can be a heck of a mess to attempt. Because power is usually sent at a constant rate, it is not affected by the cord length, or latency does not matter.   The plug (adapter) is not the proper amperage and therefore it will take 5+ hours to charge your phone.The clips on the sides of the wire are static and don't bend in to make a smooth in and out connection to your iphone.   Very dissapointed, the adapter plug does not work.

  I wanted this to take to work for charging my phone. I was very disappointed. It is useless for the my intended purpose. While the cable works fine for charging my phone from my computer I cannot plug it into an outlet and charge because the adapter plug does not work. The cord itself will not transfer data.
