  Problematic Supplier

  Ok. so the supplier was prompt and courteous but the issues avoidable. I paid for two day shipping as i was due to travel the phone arrived after i left and only after i contacted the seller. Upon arrival and opening the box i got a used phone with scratches on the face plate, the wrong charger, the back plate is replaced with a cheap cover from another supplier. Upon opening to insert the battery the inside is dirty and has a green dust on the phone and there is no memory card. So decided to return only to realize i will now lose 15% restocking fee plus shipping ($81 or 18% cost of phone). Worst yet the supplier writes me to remove the bad review on the shipping problems as its bad for business. If the business was good i will not have an issue.   Blackberries may no longer be the top 'smart phones' because they don't do everything well but for what I consider their 'core' features - email and phone, in that order - they are still up there at the top. And the Torch is the current top Blackberry at the time I'm writing this. As a 'business phone', it combines the best features of 'traditional' blackberries with the best a highly graphical, 'touch' interface can provide.   All Fired Up Over The Torch

  I have had the pleasure of using a Blackberry device since the first Blackberry was launched. As a long time Blackberry user, I have found that I simply cannot get away from their product, nor do I want to. For a short period I had an iPhone but I could not get used to the keyboard.   The Blackberry Torch is the best all-around business smartphone. It emails better than the iPhone 4 because of the traditional Blackberry qwerty keyboard and it files and sorts emails like Outlook. I can see all my email accounts on one screen and I can see my sent emails in the same screen. This was something the iPhone 4 required going to two separate screens to see. The HTC ARIA was even worse, had to go to each account and then switch from the inbox to sent folder. This was a pain since I have 4 email accounts.Battery life on the Torch should get you through a full day, unless you are watching movies. For an average day, I talk for an hour or two, email 20 - 30 times, listen to an hour of music and search the web for about 30 mins.   This phone works flawlessly. The touch screen is easy to use and not overly sensitive. The browser is great. There are many things BlackBerry does so much better than anyone else such as contact management and instant message management, in my opinion. Push email is awesome. I've had BlackBerries and HTC and BlackBerry wins hands down. I have friends with iPhones and while their phone is dead until they get to a place to recharge it all I have to do is pop the battery out and put a fresh one in and I'm still going. Being able to replace the battery on the fly is very important when I am out hiking or camping. One possible drawback to this particular phone is the OS6. It is excellent in and of itself but my carrier doesn't support it and I was unable to get service books for the browser to work.   Unblocking problems in the Dominican Republic so far

  I bought the most expensive unblocked Torch and is not working in Dominican Republic, should have specified the limitations abroad and I wouldnt have bought it yet!I can only use bb messenger but not the browser or the mails, I am very frustratedOught to say that the camera is owesome! flash is very good.   This purchase comes with 3 screen guards, a small wipe cloth, and a little plastic square that you use to push the air bubbles out as you apply the screen guard. The screen guard itself is protected by 2 thinner plastic sheets, called masks, which are on each side of the guard. You peel off one of the masks and apply the screen guard to your phone using the plastic square. Once you have the screen guard on, you peel off the other mask. This second mask prevents fingerprints/scratches getting on the screen guard as you try to apply it to your phone. The screen guard does not affect the touch screen at all.   The screen guards arrived within a couple of days of placing the order. First tried to apply them in a vertical fashion (from the top of the phone towards the keyboard), but couldn't align it well. When I tried aligning it on one of the sides of the screen and laying it down towards the other side, it came down perfectly.   peel off sticker leave a residue

  the peel off sticker on the screen guard doesn't come off cleanly. It leaves glue behind. i tried to clean it with some Windex but it only made the residue worse. These were cheep with free shipping so it was worth a try.I was not applying the protector correctly and my initial review of the product was in error. The price of $17 is very reasonable compared to the $75 dollars at the Blackberry store in the Atlanta airport. I had no compatibility issues (as indicated with reviews of other similar batteries)and the charge seems to hold the same as the battery that was originally sent with the Blackberry.   Perfect case

  I bought a universal BB Torch case about a week after the phone came out, there was nothing available. After months, I finally got this case. I have to say, it's an official BB case, it has the magnet to shut off the screen automatically and turn the screen on when you slide it out. The headphone jack is exposed but the buttons are covered. Luckly, the side of the case is soft enough that you can press the buttons to lower volume and change tracks.   I like it! It fits. It's REALLY for the Torch!

  For me, the case fits. I like the style and the feel of the textured leather. It's light, flexible in the leather and solid at the clip. It was important to me that I get a holster instead of the hard case with no clip. I'm not someone with a purse and I don't like a lot of bulk in my pockets. The Torch fits very snugly and may have a little grip (due to the screen protector). There are no port holes so you can't charge it inside the case. However, it's cut so that the headphone jack and light indicator are available.The only thing that upset me about this case is that it didn't come with the Torch in the first place. The cases that were offered on day 1 were expensive ($35 and $40) - two were hard cases and one was a very ugly holster. I chose to tough it out until a better holster came along. For me, this is the best holster available. I purchased a holster ($15) before that was similar to the Bold 9000 case.   POOR QUALITY, Separates at the seams!

  I'm not sure if I got a lemon or if this case is just poorly made. The leather is a lot more stiff than previous cases which I didn't care for but I could deal with it. However, the seam that holds the leather together along the flap is separating and coming undone after less than 1 month of use. I have had holsters for my Pearl and Curve and neither of those separated in the 1+ years that I wore those. I'm wearing the holster in the same place and not doing anything different which leads me to wonder about the leather quality. Hopefully the seller will be able to replace mine due to the poor quality.Update: The seller sent a replacement holster which did the exact same thing as the first and it was even worse as it separated at the top of the holster and exposed the carboard inside.   Battery is a Knock-Off

  This battery purports to be an authentic BlackBerry battery. It even has the trademark labeling on the battery itself. However, the battery is not an OEM battery from BlackBerry. When the battery comes, it will not work in your smartphone. You must trick the battery into thinking it is an official battery by stealing the unlock code from the original phone battery using a decoding device that is packaged with this battery. I returned this battery as I cannot be certain that it will work correctly with my smartphone or that it will not cause problems with the operation of my smartphone. I would have more trust in an after-market battery that was honest and that didn't try to trick the consumer by using a cheaply printed knock-off label to look like it was an original battery.   BEWARE! This battery is NOT an original Blackberry battery! It comes with a phoney Blackberry label that even has the Blackberry trademark symbol on it, but it is NOT. You have to connect the battery to your original Blackberry battery using a connector that "steals" the code from your original battery before you place it in your phone EVERY TIME! Any time you take the battery out of your phone or if, for any reason, you have to reboot your phone while using this battery, you have to re-connect it with the connector.   A bit deceptive

  This product comes with a mating connector where you have to transfer a code from your old battery (the original) to the new battery. And, it looks like if you let the new battery completely discharge, then the code is lost forever and the battery becomes unusable. When I took my phone into an AT&T store they had never heard of this way of doing things.   worst purchase and service ever

  Firstly, allow me to commend you as I have truly enjoyed using your products and utilizing your efficient services, I am a loyal customer whom on a regular basis has purchased items from your business/organization.Prior to this review, I have contacted your customer care service with regard to the blackberry torch i recently purchased and have been experiencing alot of technical difficulties with this product. on the day of receiving the phone i charged it to 100%, when i turned it on it took about 10 minutes to load up, after everything loaded up i tried to launch an application n when touching the icon on the screen the screen wont respond, i tried continuously and it didn't work, i did a battery pull and the problem stopped for approx 15 minutes and then started back again, if i tried to make a call and i press something on the right of the screen something on the left is selected, trying to read messages and the touch for the screen isn't working, the phone is freezing... 1/5 Dion - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)   Great phone!

  I really love this phone. I've had it for a couple weeks now and haven't had any problems at all. Well...except for one, I can't get into IM..I use MSN messenger and it just keeps saying, "handheld not enabled for this service". I think it has something to do with the phone being unlocked and my carrier...I'm not sure. But other than that, the phone has worked great.   BlackBerry Torch 9800

  The phone is slow to respond to your commands after unlocking it to use. You have to wait for about 30 seconds before it responds. This can be very annoying when you want to make a quick call or check messages. Everything else is great.
