  Stay away from this phone, Blackberrys in general

  Since Blackberry phones have been on the market, I've not only bought them and steered friends to them, as an IT project manager, I've directed various employer IT departments to set up employees and whole corporate programs around the Blackberry platform. I have informally done hours of training for friends and coworkers on the wonders of the Blackberry phones. Ya, to say I've been an addicted advocate puts it mildly. Not any more.Before I get into the problems, just want to note that Research in Motion refers all concerns about their phones to the service providers - forget about ANY help from RIM. Second, the carriers say that the phone's quality is bad, but do nothing. Consumers, we are holding the bag for an expensive phone.   blackberry heaven

  Y'know, I really don't understand what all the negative reviews are about. I've had my Style for a year now, and I have to admit, it is by far the best cell phone I've ever owned. Sure it's got its quirks, but what cell phone does not? The clam-shell model of cell phones just makes the most sense, no butt dialing, no fumbling to answer a call, keypad protection and ease of use makes up for the shortfalls. I've owned android cell phones in the past and unless your sitting at a table with no distractions they are a pain in the backside to use. Sure the apps and games are great, but what most people need is a way to communicate (that's why it's a phone). If someone wants all the glitz and glamor of a computer then get a computer!!! The Blackberry Style is a user friendly communication and organization device. It does what it's supposed to do, make phone calls and keep you up to date with appointments, etc. The OS6 is a godsend compared to the OS5 and lower.   Best phone I have had so far

  I have had the Blackberry Style for over a year now and I LOVE it!! I have never had any problems with it, and much prefer it to the Android style phone. I also have a 75 yr old client who went from a standard mini flip phone to this Blackberry Style and she is now known as a texting Queen by everyone she knows. She loves it, and also has not had any problems with the phone for over a year.   I can't believe SPRINT and other stores want to charge as much as $25 dollars for a CHEAP rubberized cased. Amazon had the hard case, which rocks, for only $3 with free shipping. The $3 dollars is about right but to ship it FREE!!??!?!?!?! Awesome. This is my second blackberry and i only WISH i had the hard case for the first.   If you're thinking at all about getting this case for your Style, go ahead and just order a couple of them. The price is fantastic, and the quality is as good as you'll get anywhere else paying a lot more. The case has a good rubberized feel, and it fits the phone perfectly.   Battery came in a little ziplock bag, and upon inspection, is EXACTLY the same as my original OEM F-M1 that came with my BlackBerry 9670.There was no sign of use on the gold contacts, which was a good sign, so I put it in my phone and... nothing happened. Figured it was discharged completely, so I plugged in my phone to charge it... and nothing happened (at first). Got a little concerned, so I left it alone for about 10 minutes, came back, and the phone had restarted and the new battery was charging correctly. Left it on the charger about 2 hours past 100% charge to "top it off" and used the phone normally the rest of the day. Battery power depleted as expected and at the same rate as the original. Charged it back up to %100 that evening, and haven't had a problem with it since.Just give it a few minutes if you experience the same thing when initially installing the battery in your phone.   Great product at a very low price. Looks just like my original but works better. Using in BB 9670 Style.My new battery arrived fully discharged which is not a problem. But, it takes a few minutes before the phone will even indicate it is charging. This is normal for a fully discharged battery; it's just different from picking up a new phone with a battery that is already fully or partially charged. Now that my new battery is in use, it recharges rapidly.I notice some negative reviewers thought their batteries wouldn't charge but they probably did not charge them long enough for the charging light to come on.   OEM charging pod!

  I ordered this at night on 1/22 and received it 1/26 (1/23 was Sunday) Fast shipping! This is an OEM BlackBerry charging pod just as advertised. This came in the same bubble wrap as other BB charging pods I've bought on Amazon in the past (not in a retail package). This works as expected and has the little light on the pod to show that it's plugged in. My only gripe is the design is slightly different than other BB charging pods... The Style 9670 is thicker being a flip phone, but I don't think they accounted for that when designing the pod as the phone doesn't sit as deep in the pod. So if the table is bumped, there is a chance the phone will either fall out of the pod, or more likely just lose the connection with the charging contacts causing it to not charge. This shouldn't be a big deal as long as it's left on a secure surface... I don't think this would ever work in a car for example.   Very convenient, yet I feel my BlackBerry is not entirely secure while in the dock, a touch loose, however it always does connect and charge.TIP: Look into the "Bedside Mode" & options (found in the clock sub-menu) to have the ability to dim, silence and more while in the dock.   I would have given it 5 stars if the color was as red as in the photo but is actually burgundy not red. Is alright though because I have found that is really difficult to find true red these days for a cell case but I love red so I always try. The fit is perfect and color has not peeled or changed. I am planning to get other colors perharps even though I may not find red I'll have fun changing my phone appereance. As expected from previously buying on Amazon, vendor delivered quick and package was well done enough for it to come undamaged and new.   Blackberry charging pod

  This is a very handy thing to have if you have a blackberry. I used to have a curve which I used a charging pod for also and loved it. The place where you plug the charger into the phone is very sensitive and can break and then the phone is torn up so this way you dont ever have to plug directly into the phone and risk having to replace it.   Super Fast Shipping/Great Product!

  So I ordered this charging pod on Sunday and it came today (it is Wednesday 2/15!). Super fast shipping, very impressed since it said the estimated delivery date was 2/22. My daughter has been without her phone for 2 weeks, because the charger mechanism is all broken and such and the phone would not charge. Sprint wanted to charge me $100 for a refurbished phone (even though I pay $8 in insurance each month). Well not having the $100 for another phone, I looked online and BOOM! found this charging pod and for less than $10 (including shipping), how wonderful is that? Her phone is all charged now and when she comes home from school on Friday, she is going to be beyond ecstatic to have her phone back! Thanks so much for the great customer service.   my charger port on my blackberry broke and so i decided to look into different standing chargers until i could get a new phone.   Pretty, small, branded, a little design flaw

  The new design for a Blackberry charger is small and it looks pretty but it has one notable design/functional flaw which should be considered when shopping for an additional Blackberry (or generic) USB charger.Briefly, the slot where the USB cable plugs in is on the side rather than on top - like the official Kindle USB charger - or in front. Therefore, if you want to plug it into a power strip it's mandatory that it's plugged on the last outlet, either on the left or on the right of the strip because there would be no room for the USB cable otherwise. Another issue - don't know if it's a problem - is that the plug is not grounded (2-pronged plug) but the makers of Blackberry apparently have concluded that this should be okay and my Blackberries survived so far.Anyone who can live with the above should find the adapter as good as any other USB charger.   Perfect product, great price

  As the title of the review states, this product is perfect. It is, as far as I can tell, a genuine Blackberry charger. Works for my Torch 9800 just like the factory original except for...well, this one works. The factory one stopped working within a couple of months, or was so intermittent (had to jiggle the cord just the right way, leave the phone angled at such a specific angle) that I can't even consider it functional. This one displays no errors of any type on the screen, it charges the phone just like the factory one did when new, and for the price, who could find fault?
