  Great phone, but... The description said that works in HSDPA 1900 band, that is not true, so if you intended to use it in 3G band with: AT&T, Bell Mobility, Telcel, Telus, Rogers, Telstra, Telecom NZ, Vodafone AU, NTT DoCoMo , Movistar, Movilnet... ITS NOT GOING TO WORK, only in EDGE or GPRS.. It will work in 3G mode with: T-Mobile, Cincinnati Bell Wireless, WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Videotron, VTR, Nextel, Optus, Vodafone AU, Vodafone NZ, Orange and Digitel... The description also said: BlackBerry OS 6.0, its imaginary.. It comes with OS 5.0, that's not a big deal I already installed the 6.0 in 30 minutes...   Buyer beware: No 3G!!

  3G does not work on AT&T! I received a T-Mobile branded phone that only supports 2G (EDGE) on the AT&T network. When I asked to replace the phone for one that supports 3G on AT&T, I was told that I should have known in advance whether or not the phone would work on 3G before I bought it, and since I had opened the box to test it, I would not be allowed to return it for a replacement or refund! The description of the phone states that the supported HSPDA (3G) networks are 850, 1900, and 2100 (AT&T uses 1900, T-Mobile 2100), so a reasonable inference would be that 3G will work with AT&T, but it doesn't. It doesn't because when either AT&T or T-Mobile brand their phones, they disable 3G capability if the phone is used with the other carrier. The sellers of unlocked 3G phones should be required to disclose who's branded phone they are selling, so that the customer can make an informed choice.   I love this phone!

  I love this Blackberry phone more than any phone I have ever used. I owned one once before, and was addicted to it. It gets great apps, good customizing abilities, not to mention it is a cute color. The only issue I ever had with it was it takes forever to turn back on if it dies or if you turn it off for a long time. But as long as you take good care of it, and keep it charged regularly, it should work fine. The only other issue I have is when the battery power gets too low, the service cuts off and you can't make calls or send texts. So you have to keep it charged nightly! The sound is good, it has Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, a very good camera, great app store, and a very cute look. It doesn't have all of the same apps as you can get for a Droid or iPhone, but I always loved this more than any Droid I've ever owned. I've had more trouble and problems out of Droid than any other phone. I always end up coming back to my Blackberry.   I gave it a four because when I first got it, it took me time to see and get used to the keys because they are kind-of small. If you want bigger buttons get 8330, my sister has one, wish I could switch with hers, but mine is newer and no tracking ball, which I really like to.. about this phone.   certainly no iPhone ... which is a good thing!

  the 8520 phone actually works well on at&t! no matter how much you learn the iphone keyboard, a blackberry full physical qwerty still wins, hands down. the spell checker and predictive type on bberry is better vs iphone and with the physical keyboard you misspell a lot less. since you can sync your itunes on here you only "miss" the iphone for its apps which really only work best on wifi. 8520 is lightweight, fairly thin, very light, has nicely spaced keys, and really cool media controls blended into the top of the device. nice use of rubber here on the device too lends some durability to glossy plastic finish. I jammed a 16G nand flash card into it too so i have music, movies etc with me.   World Wide Distributors customer service is horrible!!!

  To all Amazon customers. I truly and honestly advise you all to be careful of who is the merchant of the products you are buying from. I ordered a Blackberry Tour 9630 for my fiancee. First when I order the phone, they sent me the wrong endorsed phone. I needed a Sprint PCS phone, they send her a Verizon phone. After she mailed the phone back, by overnite, to World Wide Distributors, she had to wait 6 days to recieve the correct phone. While my fiancee has the correctly endorsed phone, she goes to the local Sprint PCS store and finds out that the phone she has CAN NOT be activated. The phone came up as LOST or STOLEN! While my fiancee called World Wide, she was trying to get ahold of customer service and the young lady hung up on her. This company should be shut down and banned from any further business with any group, company, or business alike. That said, it works pretty well -- with one major exception: where I am (in Tanzania) the data portion is not unlocked. The handset will not enable data access at all. The cel phone company rep here (Airtel)told me they have had this problem with many Verizon BBerries, and despite their request, RIM has not come back with a solution for unlocking the phones for data.And now Amazon won't let me return it as the 30 days are up.   I really advice all to make sure the company you are going to give your money to, will be a good reliable one. My fiancee who is currently deployed to Iraq sent me a Blackberry tour 9630 as a gift. I was excited until the phone I recieved was the wrong carrier. I am with Sprint they sent a Verizon phone. Customer service rep ANITA when I contacted them let me know she would email a ups label. It has been a week I am still waiting for the email! I knew better sent the phone out to them over night. Today I recieved the correct Sprint Blackberry. To my surprise when I go to activate is they can't do it because the phone was reported LOST or STOLEN!!!!! I was irrate I called World Wide while at the store, all John could do is give me his email so I could email him!!!   Unpleasant to see and sceptical to use

  I would like to say when buying Items like this I should have known better due to item been used. On receipt of the item I noticed that it was not mailed out in a box but rather an envelope made out of bubble wrap and the power supply (nothing else) in the large envelope.   So far so good

  I wanted something I could use while deployed and we all know finding an unlocked Blackberry in the US is next to impossible. Phone works well so far, works with the ROSHAN network. Haven't tried to hook it up to any wifi just yet. Really wish it had been a different color tho. The metallic purple isn't for everyone. 4/5 C.   "SellPhoneStop" unos ladrones. No les compren. Me envio un equipo que solo funciona para digitel (900 MHz) cuando ofrece en el aviso uno que funciona para Digitel, Movilnet y Movistar. Pase dias buscando en Amazon.com un equipo que funcionara en todas las bandas y estos ladrones lo ofrecen aun a sabiendas que no lo tienen. Espero que Amazon tome cartas en el asunto con estos pillos. Incluso responden groseramente a los correos. Estaba tan contento con el aparato que los califique positivamente aun cuando el equipo que llegó es visiblemente viejo. Los plasticos estan rayados y no trae las conexiones electricas para Europa y China, propias de Blackberry (he comprado varios equipos).   Refurbished and does not work at all

  When I first got my phone, it seemed to work perfectly with my carrier in Venezuela (Movilnet) even thought it had a problem with the WiFi connection. I used the phone for a whole week knowing that "Cell Lounge" sent me a refurbished blackberry when I specifically ordered a NEW one; anyway it stopped working because it presented a "JVM error 102" and it wouldn't go on. The screen just stayed black with those words on it. That same day, I found out that the USB did not work either. I regret this purchase.Cuando recibi el telefono, parecia funcionar perfectamente con mi linea venezolana, Movilnet, aunque tenia problemas al conectarme con el WiFi.
