  It's a BlackBerry, but not the one I ordered.

  The item i recieved came here only 8 days after i purchased it. It came in the condition described. The problem is, it isn't exactly what I ordered. It is a Blackberry, but it isn't the 8830 like I paid for. Instead, I got a Curve 8330 which works with VZW. I am overseas in Kuwait and I ordered the 8830 because it had a slot for a sim card. The Curve 8130 VZW phone does not. VZW does not use sim cards. I am very unhappy about this. 1/5 Blackberry User - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)   Watch the fine print!

  The phone is fine. However I am displeased with amazons marketing of this phone. The phone was not "unlocked" as the title states. When I brought this up with seller he stated that Amazon inserted this I to the title, not himself.I feel items in bold print in the title should be accurate.   This phone is an older model phone but for people that are use to the older versions its perfect. There is no camera on this blackberry model but there doesnt claim to be.   Like it better than my HTC Evo for everything but internet and games...

  I use a Blackberry 8830 World Phone (on Verizon) and a HTC Evo everyday. The BB is my work device, and I own a HTC Evo as my personal phone (on Sprint). Using them back to back, I can say first hand that for most of what I do, the BlackBerry is the better device.PROS OF A BB 88301. My BB has been reliable,2. Allows for quick email response wheenever and whereever,3. Is great for calls with a bluetooth headset. connects without issue and is pretty clear, few dropped calls (bluetooth dropping off, which happened all the time with my old Palm Centro)4. The basic functions work well - datebook, contacts, to-do's, and memo's... I used these for years on the Palm and while the BB is not as good as the Palm was (sigh), still works well enough.CONS OF the BB 88301. Internet isn't the best...   I thought it was awesome for the price, it has alot of cool features to it.Theres only a few things i dont like about it, its the scroll button theres no faster alternative. it takes me forever to scroll through my messages. I like how its complicated with so many options on everything. I dont like simple phones, they get boring. But it also doesnt play videos on the internet.   Battery life

  I am not sure if I missed something but I may have been given a used battery. Initially the battery life had a good 2 days of normal usage but yesterday I took my phone off the charger around 5 pm and this morning when I woke up at 6 am it was almost dead. I made one short call and had a few text messages so I am not sure why now after a week and a half of using it that it wont last a full day. 2/5 G.   Not quite new

  I bought this product as a new item.It is obviously not new, it was actually in much worse shape the my original battery that is over a year old...However, it charges ok and I haven't had any problems with the battery holding a decent charge level.I am not dissatisfied enough to return the battery, but I paid for a "New" Item and was given one that has seen extensive use, the contacts had visible wear, the green covering on the battery was ripped, the battery had scratches acrossed the surface like it had been thrown in a box with metal objects and sat there for a while... 2/5 Mark D.   Works just like the one that comes with the 8800, 'cause it *is* the one that comes with the 8800. It would be nice if it had a higher power density (which is achievable using current technology) so that the 8800 would last a bit longer between charges.   This case was "sold by Amazon and fulfilled by Zenith Mobile." The description clearly says "leather," but it is EXACTLY the same vinyl case that came with my Blackberry from Verizon -- it even has the same part number on the tag inside. It's not worth the hassle to return it. Another reviewer had the same "problem" with this case when he ordered from MyNet Deals, so the problem seems to be with the case, not the seller. My hunch: Amazon's description is incorrect, and the basic "OEM" case is supposed to be vinyl.I just ordered another one described as "lambskin," with a different Blackberry part number.   I actually don't have a blackberry but an LG 500G. The case is a little wider than my phone but otherwise is great. The charge plug is not even obstructed with the phone in the case. The price was definitely way cheaper than even the low quality, overpriced stuff at Wally's. I could care less if the material is leather or vinyl.   Good Conditioned Phone, But...

  I brought the phone as a backup for Verizon. I have used the this version of the Curve before and I loved the keyboard and the ease of use. Its a great little phone to have. The phone came to me with the charger, the battery, and the battery cover. Everything looked in great condition. The phone itself looked new actually. I saw no scratches anywhere on the equipment.The problem is the battery cover that the phone came with did not fit the phone. Now I know the company sells alot of these phones resale, but you would think they would at least make sure the battery cover fit the phone before sending them out. I'm sure there are people who have an old phone with a battery cover they could use but I don't, nor do I want to shop around to find one that fits. This should have been taken care of when they sold me the phone.I gave this 3 stars because the product did not come with all the correct equipment that was usable.   I read the other mixed reviews and decided to order this battery anyway. I am very disappointed. I use my phone less than ten times a day and rarely use texting. I have to charge every day. I was hoping for a battery that would last for at least three days before requiring charging.
