Not as rugged as its older brother

I had been using my Samsung Rugby for over 4 years and THAT phone took some serious abuse. It got run over, dropped in mud repeatedly, thrown in a fit of rage. It was the best, but as times and needs change, I needed a phone with "smartphone" capabilities. Pretty much need to access email remotely.I got the Rugby on 4-22, with insurance and a 30 day trial period. Knowing the abuse that my old phone went through, I needed to see if this one would cut the mustard.4-23, I dropped it on the floor at work (first time on purpose, second time accidentally) it seemed ok. Dropped a little harder, chipped the back cover. Nothing major, but odd for a "rugged" phone...The Rugby smart says it can withstand a bath up to 1m for 30 minutes. Well, since I will be using it in rain, snow, etc, and will likely answer a call with muddy hands, I NEED this feature.Into a glass of water it went, for like 2 minutes. Took it out, touch screen won't work while... 3/5 A. Robinson (Warren, OH) - See all my reviews, April 27, 2012

    Highly recommend

I am extremely happy with this phone. I made the switch from Blackberry to Android, but I am a bit clumsy and I didn't want a huge phone. I have no interest in watching movies or surfing the net, other than a quick look up here and there. This phone feels sturdy and well-built in my hands. I haven't put it under water, nor do I intentionally plan to do so, but it's comforting to know from the reviews that I read and watched, that it can be dropped, get dirty and wet and still work. I love the android apps. I'm somewhat techy, but this is a very easy phone to use. The battery life could be better, it's only lasting a full day. My favorite apps -- the navigation and Spotify! Highly recommend. 5/5 C. Retemeyer "Loves a good deal" (CA) - See all my reviews, March 19, 2012

The only RUGGED smartphone on the market!

I broke 2 Samsung Note screens in the last month, while it was in my pocket! I love this phone. It's rugged and runs Android 2.3, what else can you ask for. Oh, did I mention the screen is .2" larger than the iPhone? So, although small compared to most Android phones it still is larger than the iPhone. 5/5 Roger A. Recalled

I bought this phone and loved it, until the touch screen stopped working. When I called AT&T they informed me that it was recalled in 2009. There is nothing they can do for you either, so don't even waste your money. It will work for a few months and then NOTHING. Now I am out the money. Amazon should take this item off it's site. 1/5 laurahi - See all my reviews This review is from: AT&T Quickfire GTX75 Cell Phone Orange (Wireless Phone Accessory) I bought this phone and loved it, until the touch screen stopped working. Loved this phone!

I bought this phone when it first came out. Which I guess was three years ago? For a touch screen this phone was very durable! I'm a horse rider so I useually go through phones like I do clothes. I've had horses "eat" my phone before. Anyways, I dopped my phone to many times to count on concrete,in mud among other things, the screen never cracked unlike the Iphone and other touch screens. People say it's a crappy phone, though I do not agree. I don't think its the phones I honestly think it's just At&t. I will definitly be buying this phone again! 5/5 onyx_cross - See all my reviews This review is from: AT&T Quickfire GTX75 Cell Phone Orange (Wireless Phone Accessory) I bought this phone when it first came out. ths phone

This phone worked ok when i first got it, but after a couple of weeks the touch screen would feeze up when i was texting and i had to reset it ever time it did that. Also when i go some where i keep my phone in my back pocket but every time i would put it there it would turn of and i would have to take the battery out to get it to come back on. Theres one more thing you should know before getting this phone. IT IS BIG!! Its so fat and heavy its not worth what i paid for. Trust me this phone is not worth what i paid for,ive had this phone for only couple of months and ive all ready bought a new one of of amazon. i regret buying this phone and i wish i could return it. 2/5 person000 - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Totally what I expected...

At first I was undecided, my options were the Motorola Atrix, Inspire 4G and the Infuse 4G. I owned a Samsung Captivate and loved it, save for the GPS, everything was nice so you may think my comment is a little biased. The Atrix has a dual core, more RAM and it was cheaper, but I read bad things about a heating problem, bad battery life and the burdensome of MotoBlur, I suppose most of those cons were fixed with the recent Gingerbread update, so what I'm saying may or may not be valid anymore. The Inspire 4G was attractive, I'd always read good things about the handcrafted quality put on HTC's devices, hardware and software wise. The big letdown was the small battery (only 1230 mAh) and less storage capacity. At the end, I was used to a Samsung smartphone which was reliable and there I had the Infuse that was the middle brother between the Captivate and the Galaxy S II and even I considered the former I concluded I wasn't going to pay $180 more for a smartphone that was going to be a... 5/5 xtremesv - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Excellent phone!!!

As a former Nokia user, i must say that this is a wonderful new experience for me. This phone is really great and the Android OS is amazing.PROS:- The screen get nothing less than 5 stars. The definition is awesome, the touch interface works great, and the AMOLED protects it from everything.- The processor is awesome. 1.2GHz lets me run many apps at the same time without problems.- The on screen widgets are very useful, but if you place too many of them your battery won't last half a day.- Thousands of apps!!! Really!!!- Angry birds is still free!!!- The weight is unnoticeable.CONS:- It comes with OS 2.2, and the AT&T crew has not yet released an update.- The AT&T personalization of the OS is nothing but problems. I had to root the device to be able to use tethering, and also it comes with many completely useless AT&T apps.- Tha battery life is not as expected, on forums i read that OS 2.3 fixes this but... 5/5 TREK "Anyone can follow, only one can lead" (Everywhere) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) "NOT" As advertised........

The item received was a used, open box, old model{UCKE3}, AT&T cellphone that had been re-taped with clear tape to look new. When I turned the phone on it had been previously used by someone. The contents in the open box did not match the content package list on the open AT&T box. When I inserted my T-Mobile SIM in the supposedly unlocked phone, it did not work. I contacted WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTORS about not receiving a "BRAND NEW" "UNLOCKED" Samsung Infuse SGH-I997 in a brand new unopened Samsung box they replied that according to their policy cellphones cannot be returned. After trying three times to obtain a return code and a credit I have shipped the phone back to WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTORS and requested a full refund but most likely I will be forced to dispute it with Amazon and my Credit Card company. What a hassle and a waste of time all because they think they can only sell something on Amazon if they deceive the buyer.I would not purchase anything from WORLDWIDE... 1/5 ITLITE - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great low cost smart phone

I purchased 2 of these phones for my college aged children. At college and home the students have full WiFi coverage so they don't need a data plan ($0). Using Google voice and WiFi they have full smartphone functionality with no monthly bill, and the kids love the phone. Almost all Android software will run except some of the really high power games that require a dual processor. Purchase a $100 go phone card and you basically get a smart phone for about $20 a month. (including the purchase price and the 1 year service plan) The battery seems to last for days even though the kids are using the phone ALL THE TIME. Only time will tell if the phone will hold up, but at this price the phone only has to last 3 months before we break even versus a traditional plan. I might buy a 3rd for me. 5/5 Rich (Rochester NY) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) A long trip

I bought this phone as a personal phone. I have a work cellphone through AT&T, but it's very basic. I wouldn't say I use my personal phone for much more than texts and the occasional call. I originally went with Straight Talk since I didn't want to pay a lot for monthly service. While with them for a year, I had 4 different phones. Only one was a touchscreen and it had made me wonder if touchscreen phones are just not made for me. This past December, I decided it was time to get a new phone. I tried one of Straight Talk's Androids, but even though Sprint is listed as having excellent coverage at my home address, I could not get any reception inside and only 1 bar outside. A Sprint rep told me to try their prepaid services instead of Straight Talk's. I tried an HTC on Virgin Mobile and had no reception. I returned it and tried a Motorola on Boost Mobile, no reception. I should add that the area I live in has very good - excellent coverage on all the major networks, including full... 5/5 Evan "Evan" - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The Ying and Yang of the Combo

This has both pros and cons. The pros, is that I received it and it had all the advertised items and also the drivers (yes I got the T3 that I really wanted) seem to be of a nice design, easy to hold and manipulate. So why a Yang?I can not ding them for this but it would have been very nice if this set came in any type of protective plastic box or holders. I received it in just a small, very tightly arranged white cardboard box. So there is no storage other than the cardboard box the set comes in. But that doesn't bother me as much as this is supposed to be a precision set (IE the T3 Torx bit is almost microscopic and fragile on the tip) but the box is SOOO tight that most all of the tips of the drivers arrived either punched through the cardboard or dented the box.I have not tried to see if the tiny tips have been damaged by the way too small box. A simple millimeter more in box length and a thing piece of foam would have at least... 3/5 TB-10 Pilot "George" (Columbus, Ohio) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) But that doesn't bother me as much as this is supposed to be a precision set (IE the T3 Torx bit is almost microscopic and fragile on the tip) but the box is SOOO tight that most all of the tips of the drivers arrived either punched through the cardboard or dented the box.I have not tried to see if the tiny tips have been damaged by the way too small box. A simple millimeter more in box length and a thing piece of foam would have at least... Read more Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 7, 2010

    Screwdriver Set

Although the set contained a portion of the items listed. I was shipped the wrong set. It did not contain the Torx range that I ordered and needed. I have it parked. It may never see any use. 13 pc Set Recvd, and it worked

Overall, the set gets 5 stars because it contained (more than) the parts advertised, and it worked for the intended purpose - the #5 torq driver opened the battery compartment on a Philips Pronto 9400 remote control. Quality? The 13 pieces cost $10. At that price, the quality is *at least* as expected.Note that the set I received on 1/6/12 had 13 pieces:- 7 Torq drivers and 2 tweezers as shown.- 1 plastic prying tool, double-ended, green.- 1 flat + 1 philps head "jeweler's" screwdrivers, black plastic-like.- 1 unidentifed piece, a screwdriver-like piece I would describe as a "jeweler's size" awl.The set came in a re-sealable plastic bag, inside a small bubble-mailer, inside an Amazon box. The bag+mailer are adequate as a storage pouch. 5/5 Twoboxer (New Hope, PA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works Great!!!

I ordered this car charger to charge my Samsung Galaxy Tab and my wife's Apple Ipad. I just received the charger and immediately went to test it out. I plugged the charger in and then attached a usb cable I picked up from ebay for my Galaxy Tab and it worked great. The Galaxy Tab immediately indicated it was charging. I did plug the usb cable into the top usb plug since the charger indicated that the top plug is for the Galaxy Tab and bottom is for the Ipad. I did not expect it to charge both my Galaxy Tab and my wife's Apple Ipad at the same time, but I tried it just for kicks. Both the Ipad and the Galaxy Tab indicated they were charging. I am not sure how long it would take to charge to 100% with both plugged in, but they appeared to be charging at the same time since I saw the percentage increase. Not sure if I will ever have both plugged in at the same time for normal use, but good to know it is capable. The only downside to this charger is the blue light that... 5/5 William Rushing "twelveone" (Jay, Florida) - See all my reviews, February 12, 2011

It's small and cheap and is a great buy

Problem #1: The movement of the charger from side to side caused it to loose power. A little electrical tape on the sides prevented it from shifting and losing power. I had no problem with it in another car though.Problem #2 Removing a USB cable pulled the item from the cigarette adaptor. Extra electrical tape on the sides solved the problem. The blue light was much less noticeable than I was expecting, and could easily be partially, or completely, covered.I was worried that the power required for an iPad would provide too much wattage. All items requiring lesser wattage worked wine. No problem.I would definitely recommend this item, it works very well for everything that I plug into it. 5/5 SameOldStory (US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Perfect

This little guy is perfect. Because it has two USB slots, I can charge my iPod and iPhone at the same time. Also, it's much much smaller than it looks in the picture, which is a good thing. It doesn't stick out crazy-far from the plug. For anyone who uses their iPod in their car without a device that offers auxiliary and a charger in one, this is a must-have.I'm very pleased with my purchase. 5/5 Rigbyyy - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
