  First, if you are trying to decide between iPhone 4 and 4S based on price, go ahead and get the 4. I have no desire to use Siri. My iPhone does everything that I need it to do and really Siri is the only difference between the two phones. If you buy an iPhone 4, it will have the new operating system. I have not upgraded to it yet.I've had my iPhone 4 for almost a year now and I purchased mine directly from AT&T. I have had a great experience with my phone. Before I switched to iPhone, I was a dedicated BlackBerry user. I have owned 4 BBs and I was really anti-Apple. I finally got tired of the lack of apps on BlackBerry and the outdated email interface and decided to switch. When I went to the store, the girl initially talked me into a Windows smartphone. That phone started freezing up on the very first day that I purchased it and some of the apps were unresponsive.   I had always wanted an iPhone 4, but the price has always kept me from buying one. With the recent release of the 4s, prices have come down on the older models, enough for me to buy one outright. No need to worry if you're making a good investment, because you are. I've had this phone for a month now, and it works like a dream, no lag, great apps, excellent battery life, and the best display in the business. Just beware of the sellers who are selling their iPhones for a too good to be true price.   I've ordered the iphone on-line and shipped it to a friend address as live outside the US.The phone was received within six days after purchase. Everything looked OK or Just as described by the vendor.Unfortunately or perhaps hopefully my friend checked the iphone and found that it is updated to the latest base-band!! means it cannot be unlocked and consequently would only work with AT&T... It was only two days after it has been received, so we had time to return it and get reimbursed. I should admit that this was not a bad experience with the seller, however, it could have been avoided if more technical information was provided ex.   The quality of the product really depends on the vendor. I bought it from The OEM Planet before and it was AMAZING (for $0.95). But ever since, they seem to no longer offer this 3-Pack front and back. So I had to try a new vendor, importer520. They are HORRIBLE. Do not buy from them. Their product is by far the worst screen protector I have ever encountered. The film is of cheap material along with poor cutting job.   Purchased this item from Amazon for $878.03, but it was sent by a 3rd party distributor - Worlwide Distributors. Again I PAID AMAZON almost $900 for a new cellphone. On the website, it clearly says there will be no returns on cell phones. HOWEVER, the almost $900 Brand New cell phone was defective out of the box. It could not even be turned on. Worldwide Distributors would not return my money and offered a refurbished phone in return, which I refused because I paid almost $900 for a NEW iphone. In researching this Worldwide Distributors company, the BBB gives it an "F" rating for how it deals with customers issues. My complaint is not so much with them, but more with Amazon, who backed Worldwide and would not provide me with a NEW phone nor reimburse me the almost $900 that I paid their company for a BRAND NEW cellphone, that again, did NOT work when it came out of the box.   iPhone great. Buy experience from Amazon DISASTER

  I'm going to focus this review on the purchase experience from Amazon as there are thousands of reviews on the iPhone made by experts.I bought this phone from FGS Trading (an Amazon registered shop, thus covered by Amazon policies).Phone was purchased as a gift for my brother who lives abroad. So obviously opening the phone from its original package and use it for a couple of days to make sure it worked well wasn't an option.I took the phone abroad then, my brother opened it, plugged it and surprise: iPhone restarted every 5 minutes. So a new, never opened phone with no apps installed whatsoever just kept restarting every 5 minute.   If you want a nice sleek case for the iPhone 4, this is actually a pretty decent deal as the case is elegant, sturdy, and protects the phone pretty well. However, the case does not fit the iPhone 4S. And since it's advertised to do just that, I ordered it for my 4S and was very disappointed to find that the case blocks the silence button from being utilized. Since the iPhone 4S has slightly different placement of its buttons, the holes on the case that were sufficient for the iPhone 4 model are no longer appropriately placed for the 4S. I gave the case to my sister who has the older model, so it wasn't a complete waste (like I said, it's a nice case). But the sellers are falsely advertising when they say it works for the 4S.   Below is my review of the 16GB model that I purchased in September. Please note that this is strictly my opinion of the phone itself, I have no knowledge of this seller or the condition of the phones they sell.I had the 8GB 3G model and thought that was great, until I got a demo of the iPhone 4. Man is this version is light years ahead of the original model.With a 1Ghz CPU, and 16GB of flash memory, this thing is a portable office/entertainment center par excellence. I've had this phone for 3 months without a single problem, the display is nice and sharp, the apps load very fast, and I now have over 130 apps to perform just about every duty you could possibly think of with absolutely no impact on performance. And on the ATT 3G network, I average download speeds of around 1.8Mbps, and over 1M upload speeds....and how do I know that, cause I got an app that tells me that's how.   I bought this iPhone 4 cellphone as a gift to my friend's daughter in Europe (Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen!). First look on this item was positive. I rushed a lot wishing the phone was delivered ASAP and mailed it to Europe immediately upon receipt. But as it turned out the shipped iPhone 4 meant it only be used with Verizon Wireless network, it did not have the slot for micro-SIM card for using with AT&T Wireless, Sprint or any other carrier.   Awesome with Verizon Wireless. The 4S is not worth getting for one new minor feature voice control. I have 8 Gb (6.2 gb) small but it is good enough. The 3G is easy to burn through your data plan but that's with all 2010 up smart phones. Battery runs out every two days if you use it regularly. 1/2 a day if your a text-addict ( like every body if the world). But again every smart phone 2010 up runs through batteries.   not the best

  I had two issues after receiving the iphone, one the center or home button was hard to push, after only one day of use - the screen displayed the itunes logo and a usb cable, i tried turning on/off several times and tried reloading thru itunes-failed due to iphone being unlock, this according to vendor i purchased the phone from. The vendor seemd kind and concerned about addressing my two issues, so I sent back the iphone for him to fix at my own expense, he reloaded software and stated in a letter I got with the repaired phone to NEVER update your iphone on itunes, and as far as the center button or home key, the vendor stated it seems to be ok, thus, no it was not fixed, so after spending several hundred dollars for this used iphone that was advertised as in great shape,was in my opinion not, buyer beware- software is one big issue with unlocked phones and performance or buttons are another, I used the iphone for another week and got a pineapple on the screen, so long story... 2/5 T.   Different Amazon vendors give different cables! Cellular 5 Star gave best. Importer520 cables were okay. Item44less were worst

  I compared the cable I received with my original iPhone 4 and 3 cables. I cannot tell any differences other than a slightly different feel of the rubber/plastic material along the cable length, which by the way also differs between my genuine Apple iphone 4 and 3 cables. Another reviewer posted pictures on Amazon in which the cable in question appeared to have a slightly wider or larger connectors, but mine are identical in size, and appearance.I am very happy with this purchase and will purchase several more.ADDENDUM April 20, 2011=======================After my initial great experience with the cable (that I ordered from Amazon's merchant Cellular 5 Star), I ordered 3 more cables, and did not realize that the "default" merchant had changed to Importer520.   Not an "Apple" cable but VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE! (see my pics for full visual comparison made 4/1/11)

  I browsed Amazon for weeks teetering between about 3 different sellers for my replacement dock cables for charging/syncing my iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and 160Gig iPod Classic. I found these cables to be the least expensive of the ones with predominately "good" reviews. There were a few people who said they got the "real thing" when they ordered the cables as "OEM Apple cables", a few people who said the cables were good but not "OEM Apple" quality, and finally there were a few who said to "stay away from these cables" because they tore up easily.   I bought this bumper for my white iPhone4S. It's high quality and the color really matches well with my white iPhone4S. The volume buttons and the shut off button are metal as described. The only thing seems a little off is the window for the silent button. The silent button is still reachable from the window, but slightly off from the middle. I tried the bumper on my husband's iPhone4, and it fits perfectly, and the silent button is right in the middle of the window. SO I guess even Apple claims iPhone4 and iPhone4S are identical, there is a teeny tiny difference in the vertical position of the silent button.Overall, the bumper is a great fit for iPhone4, and a good fit for iPhone4S if you ignore the slightly off silent button.   Poorly-machined, surface defects, no front camera cutout.

  These screen protectors definitely fall into the 'you get what you pay for' category.Strike 1:The screen protectors are *not* precisely cut. After several re-applications to ensure I was installing it correctly, there's still a micro-seam on one side that 'overhangs' the screen. Thinking I had a dud, I tried screen protector #2 from the 3-pack, only to find it worse than the first. This overhang creates an inability for the screen protector to properly seal - leaving a vertical stripe of non-seated protector film down the face of the iPhone 4.Strike 2:After scuttling #1 & #2 screen protectors, I tried #3. This one fit the best of the bunch, but was still clearly ill-cut. However, it had some surface bloom patterns (not air bubbles beneath the surface, but actual blotches of discoloration) that wouldn't wipe away - they're 'in' the plastic film.   This film is not cut to the size that it need to be. It is the correct size of the iPhone 4 screen but the manufacturer clearly did not test it on the real iPhone 4. The film is maybe 0.5mm too big and the microscopic plastic layer on the edges does not allow for it to touch the glass on the edges. Hard to explain, but it looks great all around, except the round edges where it's not touching the glass.To manufacturer:1. Keep the packaging2. Keep the same price3.   I felt compelled to review after seeing so many 1-star reviews for this product.This thing fits the iPhone 4 perfectly. Maybe some of these other reviewers were applying it on an older model. The quality is definitely higher than that of the generic ones you see for $1-2 shipped from Hong Kong. The second peel off skin is usually the same on both sides of China made LCD protectors (which lifts the freshly applied skin off and allows dust in or bubbles to form) but this one has the very thin film as the second coating which is easy to remove and boasts it's overall superior material construction.I have no idea what an earlier reviewer was talking about when he said the surface is uneven.. maybe he got a different order or his was subjected to heat. This is a great deal on amazon. Screen protectors are annoyingly difficult to apply, in general, and justifiably receive low reviews, but bashing this particular product for being low quality is unwarranted.
