Great for pointing, not for drawing

These stylus are very well made and work very well, if all you want to do is find an alternative to pressing the onscreen keyboard. However, these stylus are totally useless for use with a drawing program because the rubber tip will not glide across the screen. If you use your iPhone outdoors and you are wearing gloves, these stylus are for you. If you want to draw, then you'd be better off with a stylus with a soft foam tip. 3/5 Pierre Fontaine "Pierre Fontaine" (Westchester County, NY) - See all my reviews, October 17, 2009

Three stylii, compared; this one stinks.

Short and sweet:I've tried three of the stylus brands offered on Amazon: The $15.00; the $11.99 aCase; and the cheap three-pack "Universal Touch Screen Stylus.".It is easy to tell you which not to buy: the cheap ones. The rubber tips on them have too much friction. You can't write or draw easily; you literally feel like the Stylus is getting stuck on the screen. Guaranteed, one zillion percent, you will hate it.Now, to the Boxwave vs. the aCase. This isn't just a draw; there's not even a fight, because the two products are exactly the same (there's one subtle difference in the way the little headphone-jack string insert is attached to the pen. One uses a tiny, carbiner-type hook, and the other a ring. You'd probably never notice the difference, because there is non.So, which to buy? The aCase is three dollars cheaper, but it only comes in black. Buy the correct stylus

This review has stirred interest beyond the value of said stylus. These are inexpensive, ok, cheap, stylus. I bought them to test on a cheap tablet I was testing and they worked very good. If they are lost, stolen or eaten by Fido, who cares. We are talking about bang for the buck here. And yes, they are made across the big pond.If you need status, spend the big bucks, but don't cry if it goes missing. It could be hiding next to that missing $200.00 remote.Better yet, make one yourself, it's a fun and interesting project. Brings out that MacGyver rush from the 80's.There are three (3) types of touch screens, buy the correct stylus for your... 5/5 James Woodruff (USA) - See all my reviews, September 12, 2010

    Surpassed my expectations

I'm a very tough critic when it comes to anything related to technology. I had yet to come across a phone that could keep up with my pace on how I use my phones, that is until I met the Android Motorola Atrix & Atrix 2. I've had the fortunate luck of being able to use both phones and have been pleased with the performance levels and durability of both. The battery life goes pretty quickly with heavy use, but that is to be expected since you are pretty much working the Dual Core processor it has and the phone does really well at keeping up with extreme use (texting, emailing, checking in, web use, downloading, uploading, camera usage, video camera usage, etc.) The multi tasking ability on the phone is fantastic and display is crystal clear.Highly recommended for any of you tech geeks out there or the average tech user who likes fast & fun electronic toys. 5/5 Brian S. Amazing device

Is really what you might expect from the hardware specs (dual core , 1MB RAM, HSPA+,...), I do not stop wondering such computing power on your hands just shows one more time Moore's law in action. The phone is really responsive and delivers fast data connectivity, I confirm good mobile network download speed with Movistar Colombia, usually over 2M but at least 1M, upload around 500K.Display is great, even under sunlight.Sound quality, excellentUser interface , intuitive.Areas of improvement:1. Still pictures, specifically under low light conditions, but is enough for on the road pictures and videos (Full HD videos and 8MB camera by the way)2. Battery (1735mAh) is good, but could be exhausted by end of the day if used extensively, this depend on usage profile.3. Galaxy 4.0 vs. Ipod Touch 4th Gen - Two Week Review

My son got iPod Touch 8G (4th Gen) last Christmas and he likes it overall, but there were several issues that we are not so happy about. So, I've decided to try out the Galaxy Player for my daughter. I preordered it through Amazon and, with Amazon Prime, the Galaxy was delivered on Mon, Oct. 17, which was two full days earlier than promised. :-) So, here's what our family's experience has been over last two weeks.- Galaxy 4.0 vs. 5.0: I settled on 4.0 since it is mainly used as a music player and a hand-held game machine for my daughter and, thus, the smaller size makes it more convenient for her to carry it around. I did try out Dell with a 5-inch screen at BestBuy to get the feel for larger 5" screen, and, although I liked it better for web surfing and videos, I felt the 4" would be just fine for her. So, if you are going to use the Galaxy to stream shows over NetFlix or consume media on the web, then you might be better off with 5.0.- Galaxy vs. iPod -... 5/5 Snowdance (Frisco, Co) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Very surprising device

I've owned several mp3 players and tablets from microsoft, apple, sony, etc, but none of them attended most of my expectations. When I bought my Samsung Galaxy Player I also bought an iPod touch to compare both at the same time. The Galaxy Player was faster at web browsing, navigating throughout the device in general, etc.Even the ear-buds that come with it are good quality. Better than Apple's. Deep bass and nice distribution on the trebles and mediums. I had just bought a Klipsch s4i which is a really wonderful pair of ear-buds, but not needed after I tested this samsung one.The screen quality of the iPod touch is still superior due to the 960x640 pixel resolution, but the bigger size (5 inches) of the galaxy's screen makes it way more comfortable to your eyes (the quality is still really impressive though). The galaxy's internal stereo speakers are not like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 inches' which are wonderful, but they beat the... 4/5 Biel85 - See all my reviews This review is from: Samsung Galaxy 5.0 Android MP3 Player (Electronics) I've owned several mp3 players and tablets from microsoft, apple, sony, etc, but none of them attended most of my expectations. When I bought my Samsung Galaxy Player I also bought an iPod touch to compare both at the same time. The Galaxy Player was faster at web browsing, navigating throughout the device in general, etc.Even the ear-buds that come with it are good quality. Good balance between tablet and MP3 player

There are a lot of people who are comparing this to the iPod touch, and rightfully so. But I thought I'd give it a different perspective, as someone who has owned both the 4.0 and 5.0.First off, I love these Galaxy Players. They both run the Android OS 2.3.5 (Gingerbread), which is a very slick, smooth, easy-to-use interface. In my opinion, it's a little more complicated than iOS, but nothing that's overwhelming, and if you've used a touch-based OS, you can get the hang of this in no time. Both players are solid and well-built, with GPS, rear and forward-facing cameras, a microSD slot and stereo speakers. Aside from the power and volume buttons, there are no other hardware buttons on either device; the home and menu buttons are touch-sensitive. This can be a bit of a pain if you hold the device in landscape mode, though, as the buttons are sensitive and I find myself accidentally pressing them. This is of course, easily remedied by holding it from the... 4/5 maxmasa31 "maxmasa31" (Honolulu, HI United States) - See all my reviews, October 31, 2011

Awesome, but a few minor problems!

First off, let me start by saying that I do love this phone, and despite the flaws it has I'm STILL baffled over it, and I still haven't gotten over that it's a phone, and not just a toy. (I came from a Blackberry, and this just has so many advantages over it)Pros:-Quick! Much faster than my Blackberries -- I can send messages without any lag, there's generally very little delay between selecting programs and having it open.-Sleek! I've gotten a few comments about it being a cool looking phone, and one person didn't want to stop playing with it!-Surprisingly cheap! When I was looking at phones, I generally didn't want to spend over $150, but when I saw what this came with and the general reviews of it, I couldn't pass it up. This is cheaper than any Android upgrade T-Mobile would give me, and the cheapest Android phone I could find!-Android OS -- This is huge! So many people develop apps for this system, it's awesome. Nice phone but couldn't get it to update

The phone overall was very nice. Didn't weight much and the touch screen was responsive. The Android OS ran well. I liked it overall. It being unlocked and cheap along with the Android OS made it a good buy I thought at the time. The problem I had was that while the features were nice I could not get the phone to update via the official tools. Others had this problem all over the world with this particular phone. Some had to wait for their cell providers to push out the update but those that bought it unlocked from various places had issues at the time. The choice I was left with at the time was to install the update myself. A process if done wrong could turn the phone into a paperweight. With no US warranty I didn't feel safe in doing so. So in the end I returned it and thankfully because the device was fulfilled by Amazon.com I was able to get my money back. If I had the chance to buy the phone again but with the update already installed I would as I am a fan of the Android OS and... 3/5 NeoStar9 (Pennsylvania, United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) A solid piece of kit, despite its bugs.

Let me begin with a bit of background.A few months ago, I was in the market for a new portable media player. Considering the fact that I had less than zero interest in purchasing any kind of iDevice, I did a bit of research and eventually decided on the Zen Touch 2 Enhanced.I placed my order back in March, and got it within a week or so. During that week, though, I read a number of horror stories about the device: that it constantly locked up, that there was no way to reset it if it locked up, that you wouldn't be able to use it without registering it with Creative Labs, that it was buggy as hell . . . you get the picture.I fully expected that I'd be RMA'ing it within a week of getting it. Obviously, though, I haven't, and overall I'm actually pleased with it.I freely admit that it has locked up on me a couple times - the first for reasons unknown while I was booting it up, and the second when I tried to run Fennec instead of using the... 4/5 Jack O'Neill "Jack" (Kingston, New York USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Mostly use it for gym, morning jogs, bicycling, etc. I've dropped it so many times and it has never stopped working. Had an ipod, dropped it once, died. Creative ZEN Touch 2, Don't waste your time or money!

There are two secrets to know before you buy a stylus...

The first secret to all "modern" touchscreens is in how you address the stylus. What? You mean I have to say "Pretty please to it?". No, but understand that due to the non-durable nature of the capacitive touchscreen (iPad, smartphones, etc.) the tip has to be soft. Treat the stylus like a small, soft-tipped paint brush and stroke the screen versus pushing down to try to write. If someone is complaining that the tip is collapsing or they tore the tip off quickly, they are trying to write with the stylus versus stroking the screen. Try this now. Look at your hand holding a pen. Now hold the pen with the back pointing to your left or right as you would when you stroke paint brush so you can see what you are painting. That is the secret in addressing the stylus. The second secret is not obvious until you purchase a stylus and then it is too late. Let my mistakes with previous purchases benefit you as no stylus maker will tell you this, BUT this Cosmos stylus has the... 5/5 Winston Wolfe "I solve problems." These work great.

I bought a stylus at Best Buy for $15.00 when I bought my IPAD a year ago. It worked fine. I bought these three for $6.00 and they work even better. 5/5 stevelot - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works OK if you press lightly

It is a good stylus but the tips are pretty soft compared to the better (more expensive) models. I am not sure how long the tip will last and would be concerned about a potential tear causing any scratches on screen. So far so good. These work OK most of the time but sometimes skip a swipe. Then again so do my fingers. I tried a more expensive one with a stiffer tip but it started giving me some debris on screen like an eraser does after only 2 weeks. It was not worth the cost so I tried these cheaper ones on my Motorola Xoom and they are well worth the cost. I would just monitor the condition of tips to prevent any problems down the road. If they made these with stiffer tips, it would help accuracy and I would rate 5 stars for sure. 3/5 ELI the ICE man "Eli" - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Open Life. Motorola Backflip with Motoblur

This is a great product. It is small, yet has a larger screen then expected. It has Motorola's imfamous Motoblur, which, may I say, is awesome, and it arrived so fast that Amazon said it hadn't even been shipped yet. Seriously. That happened. Lol! Battery life is great, and experiencing this phone is quite frankly amazing. It includes access to the Android Market, which has thousands of great apps (not redundant ones like Apple's Appstore has, with repeats of the same thing over and over, which is the reason they have millions of apps), and it has a brilliant screen even though the resolution isn't HD like Apple iPhone's "Retina" display. The three touch-sensitive buttons at the lower front of the phone are completely responsive, and it has a great 5MP camera for the average user. It also films digital video for those greater moments in life, and it has a great browser. This phone is upgradable to Google's Android 2.1 OS, which allows you other great new features. It has a GPS that I... 5/5 Lance Lane - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Do your research before purchasing!!!!

I have had the Motorola BackFlip for about 2 years. I would love to purchase a new phone however funds are limited. The phone worked well for about 3 months. It shuts off whenever it wants and it freezes all the time. Force close messages all the time. My advice to anyone looking into purchasing a backflip is to do research. The update for it does not work. You can not use alot of applications because of that. I can say one good thing about the phone is it is durable. Mine still looks like it just came out of the box. Other than that I have nothing good to say about this phone. The touch screen works when it feels like it. I can only make calls when the phone cooperates. And if you have too many apps like more than 5 it slows the phone down tremendously. Do your research before purchasing. 1/5 Dina M. Pavia (Dingmans Ferry, PA) - See all my reviews, January 6, 2012

Not even usable as trash can fodder

Received the phone as promised. Thats the only good thing I can say for the phone. Phone is set up for AT&T. I use T-Mobile. All the pre loaded applications were for AT&T so none worked for me. I couldn't delete any of the app's and I couldn't download any. The contacts list woluld only show a history, not my contacts which I tried to load. Occasionally the contact list would pop-in. I never figured out what I did to reteive it, it just appeared magically when it wanted. The only things I could do with the phone was to send and receive phone calls. I paid $147.00 dollars for somewhat of a smartphone that would only do what my five year old basic cell phone already does. I'm sending it back to Amazon, thankfully they are only going to charge me $6.00 to take it back. The only accessory in the box was the AC adapter and a owners book which is totally worthless. Don't waste your time and patience with this phone. I'm going to a T-Mobile store and get a real phone. 1/5 John K. - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I shopped pretty hard for a current unlocked Android dual sim phone for international work and travel. I landed with this one & am happy I did. The phone worked well right out of the box, performs nearly as well as my Acer tablet and iphone. Accessories are hard to find, but is similar to HTC Sensation...if I find a source I will update this review. 3.5mm HP jack is finnicky, you may need to trim your male end so that your plug stays plugged in, I find this to be a minor nuisance since so much works so well on this phone. 5/5 Dovetail - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
