  Don't purchase

  Good Phone: Touch screen is a bit lagging

  I bought this phone from two different vendors to replace mine and my daughter's cell. I gave the first one (from Masterdeals) to my daughter because her old phone was really acting up. It works really well, so I ordered another from Unlocked Cell Phone Kings.The first phone has been working flawlessly for my daughter, the second phone starting acting up only a week and a half later. I called Unlocked Cell Phone Kings and they emailed me a RMA form. It took two weeks to get replacement from when I sent the defective unit back.I bought a new phone, but recieved a refurbished phone. It "looks" new, but was in a plain jane box and the screen shipping protector was too big, over hanging the phone. However, this phone has worked pretty much flawlessly. The touch screen is a bit "lagging", but works well.Obviously, I recieved a lemon. It happens from time to time and I do not blame the seller for that.   Feels like a toy, Works like a phone

  I was skeptic about buying this phone at first, but it has proven to be workable so far. I would recommend this phone to others, especially those who lose it easily like me. It works well, looks nice, great for txting (except when it takes forever to load), and although the camera is only 2MP the quality is really good. The touch screen is a bit unresponsive, but it's what a first generation touch screen phone should be like so no biggy. I've dropped it a few times, and it has produced a bit of a jingle when the phone vibrates, but according to other listeners, I'm the only who can hear it.   If you are looking for a non-apple smartphone, this is it.Primary function, being a phone, is outstanding. The phone has a good reception and you are able to have clear conversations even in noisy environments like games or construction sites.Additionally, it is full of features with out of the box google integration. The screen is amazing and very responsive. Gps, camera and wi-fi works as expected. The full qwerty slider keyboard works great, however keys are too flat. Form factor is adequate.   No 3G outside Europe !

  Buyer beware, this is a EUROPEAN model (the Milestone also comes in a Canadian version) so 3G is 900/2100 only and that means there is NO WAY to get 3G in the USA, either with T-Mobile or with AT&T - Amazon USA should not be selling this phone without a BIG DISCLAIMER - not to mention they should specify it is a UK model (comes with the original UK charger and a US adapter).I need an Android phone so if I find there is a GSM Android phone out there that works on a 3G network in the USA I'm returning it.I've wasted about 10 hours since I got it yesterday :1.   Great phone

  This thing cost way too much, but it is a great phone. Every thing works, the keyboard is nice (except the keys are a little too flat), the screen, the camera, everything works well.I Have had two problems though - First I bought this phone to use with T-mobile, but it doesn't operate at the frequency T-mobile uses for their 3G service. Second, after the last upgrade it has randomly started playing music. It is a known bug with some work-arounds, but it is very annoying.So, with all the new variants coming out, I'd say look for something newer on contract first.   so excited the day I received my phone. right off not able to text had to take to ATT store, had to change a # that was still in phone. worked great for ONE week bought an awesome cover for it then totally DIED ON ME. back to ATT store & not able to help or explain why. bought new battery to try to save my purchase but NO GO.   Touch screen dead after 1 year

  This phone is pretty much dead after only having it for a year. Once the touch screen goes, it's over. I can only answer an incoming call - that is all. I can't go through messages or save photos to my computer via bluetooth because I have to confirm all actions by using the touch screen that doesn't work. The keypad is good for messaging, but it would be more effective if I could scroll through screens using the arrows, especially when the touch screen no longer works. I've lost lots of photos on this phone. Now I have to go through the hassle of paying to have it sent back plus gather allthis information that selected gadgets say they have to have in order to refund my money.   I gave it a four because when I first got it, it took me time to see and get used to the keys because they are kind-of small. If you want bigger buttons get 8330, my sister has one, wish I could switch with hers, but mine is newer and no tracking ball, which I really like to.. about this phone. Its sleek and easy to navigate..Before I had this one I had the 8120, ah--big difference the charge on 8520 last longer and takes a little time to charge up, but its worth it. Also, the keys I wished lighted up a bit brighter, BUT like I said once you have it after a few days you get used to it. My one problem with as I am thinking off the top of my head ..is there are not enough apps to go with or themes made for this model.I am a geek for that, but as of now I have been able to download a few off my blackberry 8120 to my 8520.Also, checking around i was able to get a few more themes, that are just awesome.   the 8520 phone actually works well on at&t! no matter how much you learn the iphone keyboard, a blackberry full physical qwerty still wins, hands down. the spell checker and predictive type on bberry is better vs iphone and with the physical keyboard you misspell a lot less. since you can sync your itunes on here you only "miss" the iphone for its apps which really only work best on wifi. 8520 is lightweight, fairly thin, very light, has nicely spaced keys, and really cool media controls blended into the top of the device. nice use of rubber here on the device too lends some durability to glossy plastic finish. I jammed a 16G nand flash card into it too so i have music, movies etc with me.   False Advertising/Misleading Description

  This product description is extremely misleading. The phone is NOT a Verizon phone, it is an Alltel phone and will not work with Verizon Wireless service. It clearly states in both the product description and the title of the product Verizon phone. Don't waste your time or your money. I now have to drive 50 miles into town and drop it off at UPS and I also just had to order another phone due to this. We have our smart phones this was simply a replacement phone for the ranch. Very disappointed in the seller due to the fact that they are misleading people by stating in two places that it is a Verizon phone, it even says this on the phone when you receive it. It also looks like it has been used and they just threw some plastic on the screen and the back to make it look new. Don't waste your time, it is a farce.   Does NOT work with PagePlus unless you unlock & program the phone yourself or pay someone to do it for you. Seller's description and title is still wrong. This phone only works with Alltel.   Great phone just cant use with Verison.

  The phone was perfect. It was exactly what i wanted but you cant activate it if you have Verison. NO MATTER WHAT!!!!
